Kryse moved through the groundbridge and into the medical bay, stride stiff and uneven. Behind her, Taggon, dwarfing her by a good seven feet.
The small silver femme peers around, wings shufflijg softly against yer back, a bit of silvery dust falling from them.
A moment later, a drizzle of syrupy energon follows, the ugly wounds on the back sof her thighs re-opened by all the walking.

As Chiro started to leave, her audio receptors met with the sound of a groundbridge opening. She stopped and turned to look, seeing what appeared to be a silver insecticon femme coming through the portal, shortly followed by Taggon.
Chiro couldn't help but smile at Taggon. "Taggon to the rescue yet again. You have saved many lives lately with your timely manner." Chiro said appreciatively of the mech's efforts to rescue seemingly every injured 'Bot or ally from the field of battle. It was also meant as an up-lifter given the recent turn of events with the Maximus. Though she wasn't sure how he would take it.
Chiro then looked to the femme and gestured for her to sit on an empty bed nearby, smiling warmly towards her. "My designation is Doctor Chiro and I'll take care of you. May I ask your designation?"

Kryse's silver optics roam around the room, eventually falling on Chiro.
"My name is Kryse,"
Her voice carries a heavy accent, and the dialect of Cybertronian she speaks, while not quite foreign or archaic, is certainly unusual.
The femme moves stiffly to the birth, a geyser of sparks emerging from one of her legs. Her peds make very little sound as she walks; the biggest noise she makes is the rustle of her huge, silvery wings against one another, a small trickle of grey dust occasionally emerging from them, hanging in the air like water-vapor. So this was a real Autobot. The closest thing to a protagonist this whole, dreadful war had. Kryse was deeply appreciative of the kindness she was being offered, but she still held resentment.... She couldnt help herself, with all that had happened. The Autobots had helped to perpetuate all this fighting.... Not that they really had a choice.
"Good to meet you, Doctor Chiro."
She sat gingerly on the berth, only allowing her aft to touch the metal, carefully keeping weight off her shredded thighs. All the same, the process of sitting down drove a fresh drip of energon from the wounds, along with a nearly inaudible noise of pain from Kryse. It was rude to express her discomfort in front of strangers.... She had been told so many times.... But now, with how she felt, with what had occurred on Helios to drive her here.... She couldn't help it.
The thought of the last image she had of them, of her mother's limp body on the ground, looking so fragile without her smile or her constant, cheerful talk. Of her father as he had wrestled and lost with the Decepticon.....
It was enough to drive another sob from her intake, like the one that had squeezed out with Taggon only a cycle or two ago. This one, at least, she heard coming, and managed to cover with a cough, servo clicking as it rose to her face for a moment, as thougg to cover her intake.

A dark russet brown and maroon dark red figure made his way into the medical bay, followed up by Diamond, a deep blue and jewel covered femme. Vaqus greeted everyone in the room with his copper optics, which had the faintest trace of purple in the middle of them. Vaqus tried to walk with a straight back, even though there was a large, gaping hole right on his lower back. Sparks flew from it, and the warrior was decorated with bullet wholes, and had scratches all across his upper chest, thanks to the femme with the large mace. Vaqus saw the lot who were in the room, but kept to himself. Nothing much to say, 'Hi guys, just poppin' in, hey you're dying too? That's great, see ya in a bit!'. Vaqus knew better then that, and it was just that really, the last part wouldn't help anyone out.
So Vaqus quietly made his way over to a berth, after glancing at the vehicon. The fact that a vehicon was standing without any bonds to restrain him in the Autobot base stirred him, but then the mech noticed the Autobot insignia, and figured he was okay.
Vaqus: Well, in that case, I have to take a five Diamond. Rough day of--well, getting pounded.
Vaqus put simply, and then peacefully held still, though he wasn't tempted to go into stasis. Infact, he was new in town, and had just arrived this very day in a stasis pod. Resting was the last thing he wanted. 'You're battered like a punching bag idiot. Have some shut-eye, I'll take first watch.' Clinks said to him mentally, since Clinx was also attached to his back. The cesseticon was faithful, though slanderous. Yeah, thanks Clinks. But I'll be staying awake for now, until doc-whity-tighty here sedates me. Vaqus replied.

Taggon entered through the closing ground bridge, the portal shutting behind him. The vehicon scanned where he had taken them, and to his relief there were doctors around this time. Unlike the last few times, when there had been practically no one in the medical bay. Taggon escorted the injured femme to her berth, and then stepped back as he let Doctor Chiro take the lead.
"Taggon to the rescue yet again. You have saved many lives lately with your timely manner."
Taggon heard the compliment, and from behind his visor he caught her smile. Just a vehicon. Taggon replied to her mentally, though he knew she wouldn't hear. He nodded to her, mirroring the same appreciation for being noticed, he hadn't spoken the words he had thought since no one took him for real when he did. 'Oh Taggon you're more then just a vehicon.' Taggon knew it, but it was traditional vehicon way of saying 'your welcome, just doing my job.' Some sentient 'bots just couldn't register it.
"This is the fifth rescue I have performed this month---though it seems I am not the only one doing the job." His visor tilted towards Vaqus and Diamond, before he faced her again. "You do your fair share of work to, and do not think for a heart beat that I have not noticed." Taggon replied with words, since he decided that showing others that their doings had been noticed was a brightening topic in the medical bay. Taggon then realised how tired he was. It all hit him like a wave, how weary he was, and how rest wanted to pay him a visit. I have been out on the field for three weeks, non-stop. I suppose a break would not be harmful. Taggon told himself. It wasn't a record breaker, but he was definitely not going soft. Taggon concealed his tiredness with the professionalism of an actor, since most of his life he had been acting to others. To make sure he would be ready for action in a heart-beat, he couldn't afford to be recharging on a berth though.
Taggon found a good looking wall just across from his previous rescue, and then leaned his back against it. Ahhhhhh. It felt good. Taggon only tilted his helm a fraction down, before his single functional optic shut. Taggon had taken lasers all over his body, but he was in no need for a major repair. Hence the vehicon found himself beginning to drift off into a well-earned and needed recharge.

"You haven't seen the last of it." Diamond suddenly started to look tired as her smile faded am bit as she headed for the door. She could get fixed up in another ward since her wounds were only mesh. The blue femme looked over herself, studying the crushed bits and cracked panels, that was going to be a pain to fix. There were bots pretty much in every berth, asleep or awake. It was surprising at how the Decepticons could multitask. Her limp would begin to fade as she got used to the feeling, but she was going to have a sore back soon due to the mace that had been repeatedly smashed there.

"Yes, well, I'm doing my job, despite how hectic the medbay is most of the time..." She stated simply to Taggon as she watched him go to rest against the wall. She shook her head. "While I can repair, heal, and bring others from the brink of death, I sadly cannot bring back the dead..." She commented more to herself than any one person.
Chiro then nodded to the newcomer who had showed himself to a bed. "I'll be with you after I take care of Kryse." Turning back to Kryse, she flipped down her visor and scanned Kryse's thighs. The damage was substantial, but not irreversible. Chiro noted what was needed to get the femme fixed up and quickly gathered the tools and items onto a cart and brought it over to where the insecticon was sitting.
"I need you to lay down on your front so that I can easily reach your wounds." Chiro instructed Kryse and waited for her to do so. Upon seeing the insecticon's natural healing trying to close the wound, Chiro knew the operations would be more painful for the femme since Chiro needed to reopen it to repair the deeper injuries. Taking that fact into account, Chiro would then apply some local anesthetic to the wounded area. While she waited for the anesthetic to come into effect, Chiro prepped a needle with the same special thread as she used on all who had this natural healing. The thread would seal the wound, but was easily adaptable by the body to be reworked and fuse with the surrounding biotech.

Kryse nods, standing again, then lying down on the bench, spreading her wings, which were long enough to obscure her upper legs if she didn't move them aside.
The wounds had scabbed over; clotted energon formed a translucent, Amber-like blue-grey sheathe, and some of it had already begun to congeal further into flexible new metal, which would harden and re-shape itself further if given time, eventually matching the area perfectly as it had been before the injuries. Nonetheless, the wounds were, for now, deep and ugly. Ordinarily, Kryse's armor would have taken the hit better, but the backs of Kryse's thighs housed her insect-mode's collapsed boosters. The bullets had mangled the relatively delicate area, and even now, sparks occasionally jumped from those parts of the wounds that were still open.

By now the anesthetic should have taken effect so that Chiro could reopen the wounds and Kryse wouldn't feel any pain. Chiro transformed her right servo into a medium-sized scalpel and began to carefully cut the wound back open on the thigh closest to herself. Then she reverted her servo in favor of picking up a small pair of forceps. Carefully and quickly, Chiro began removing the bullets that were still lodged inside, placing the bullets in a bowl on the cart. The scanner in her visor had a constant stream of data indicating where each bullet was and what was damaged.
Once Chiro had removed all the bullets, she began to repair the damage starting at the deepest point or injury and working her way out. She replaced severed wires, repaired damaged circuitry, welded punctured metal back into one piece, and sewn together the softer, organic-like materials that had been torn. Chiro worked with deft servos and a focused processor. When all the internal wounds were mended, Chiro sewed the wound closed with neat stitches and smiled as she set the needle aside.
"One leg repaired, one to go." Chiro commented lightly, but she didn't expect Kryse to feel anything different at the moment. When the anesthetic wore off, however, the pain should at most be a dull ache and only last for a little while. Chiro made her way to the other side of Kryse, bringing the cart of tools and supplies with her. She then applied a bit more local anesthetic to that thigh to ensure that the numbing effects wouldn't wear off mid-surgery.

Kryse makes a face, resisting the urge to fidget or twist to see the surgery. While she can't feel any pain, the sensation of something touching the inside of her leg is still there, and it's mightily unsettling. She nods at Chiro's comment, wings fluttering slightly.

Chiro waited for Kryse's wings to settle again before continuing. She then began the same process as she did with the other thigh.
Chiro carefully reopened the wound and proceeded to remove all the bullets that were lodged inside. After that, Chiro worked on the internal injuries. Again, working from the inside, out. Once the internal structure, circuitry, and tears were repaired, Chiro sewed the wound shut. She then cleaned the excess energon that was clinging to the outside of the newly sealed wounds, to disinfect and prevent improper healing.
"There you go, Kryse." Chiro smiled at the femme. "I recommend you get some rest to let you wounds fully heal. You can rest here or in the Recovery Ward next door." Chiro offered before she went to clean her tools and workspace on the cart.

Kryse twists, eyes flitting to the stitched up wounds. Her wings flutter a few times, then settle.
"Thank you,"
She pauses for a moment, then glances at the various other wounded 'bots, and flips off the table, testing her legs, then moving out the door, gate still slightly stiff. She's headed to the recovery room, but, after that, she wants to speak with those who are in charge.

Chiro smiled and nodded to the femme as she walked out, presumably to the Recovery Ward. However, Chiro knew that not all who came through the medbay's doors would listen to her prescriptions for proper recovery.
Chiro then walked over to the brown and maroon mech who was waiting, her workspace cart in tow. "My designation is Doctor Chiro. What is your name?" she asked as she scanned him with her visor, figuring out the extent of his damage and what was needed for repairs. The biggest wound was on his back, there was minor damage with bullets being lodged into his frame seemingly all over, and the scratches were mostly cosmetic.
Still listening for the mech's response, Chiro went and got the needed supplies and tools from around the room and then came back over to him, setting the supplies on her cart.

Vaqus had been so bored, that he could have sworn that a lap around the medical bay would help. Maybe if he got up, and walked around, he could not be bored anymore. By this time, every spec of the medical area was memorized, and all the crevices had been counted, and every single bit of movement was noticed. At last, the doctor came to Vaqus.
Vaqus:My designation's Vaqus. One hundred seventy two minutes, sixteen seconds, and four nano-seconds. It's about time you came, Doctor.
Vaqus said passively, like anyone would be able to make the small calculation. He really was bored to tears, though he wasn't crying. He prepared himself for a decent come-back, and also some remarks about how he wasn't in good shape. His mouth guard prohibited anyone from seeing if he was smiling or frowning, but his copper optics told Chiro that he had been very bored. Waiting was something Vaqus was used to, but it was still very dull.

Chiro slightly narrowed her optics and scowled a bit. "Perhaps I didn't make you wait long enough. A word of advice, it's usually a bad idea to irritate the one who is going to repair you. I should let you think on that and come back later." Chiro quipped. "However, the wound on your back says otherwise. I've been listening to it sparking all over the place as you paced around. Now, if you would like to get out of here sooner rather than later, I suggest you watch what you say and lay on your front so I can more easily reach said wound."
Chiro understood that the mech was bored, as most were when it came to waiting for a medic. Being short-staffed didn't help either. She was doing the best she could to get to everyone in as timely a manner as possible and she didn't appreciate the unnecessary criticism of something she already knew. Putting that train of though aside, she organized her workspace while she waited for the mech to do as instructed.

Vaqus indeed had known better, but he had a bot of mouth, and sometimes when it came to patience it wouldn't stay shut. Vaqus was considering trying to have an all-out verbal battle with this medic, but she had a point. She was repairing him, and that meant it was up to her whether pain killer was applied or not. Vaqus wisely considered his next move, so he held still. His sub-marine rotors revved some, and whirred, but the Aquatronian remained silent for a minute more. He then did as he was told, it was not quickly, perhaps because of some reluctance and some pain. At last though, the gaping wound was facing towards the ceiling.
Vaqus seriously considered saying a fews more easy and careless things, but there would really be no use. The doctor was obviously thrown to one of her last straws by that little comment. So if she was the only one here, it would appear that the Autobots were short of medics. Meaning, Vaqus reasoned as he recalled from what he had seen, that she's probably been in here for a while. Vauqs was about to let out a small sigh with a small comment he often said to himself in order to pull himself together, or wise up, but it was the fact that the comment would really not help his condition, since it was not the nicest thing to mumble, even to oneself. So Vaqus just laid there, cooperating as he flexed his fingers once or twice.
'May I ask why you're cranky all of the sudden?' Clinks asked in his head, and Vaqus replied mentally; Do not ask questions you know the answer to. It's my first time on the ground since--well, a very long time ago, and there's practically no water. Darn this gravity, it's causing me mood swings.

When Vaqus turned over, Chiro applied some anesthetic and waited a few minutes for it to take full effect. The wound was extensive, but luckily the damage didn't extend to his Bipedalism cord. When she knew that the pain killer was working, she silently got to work.
Chiro started by carefully measuring then removing the wires that were arcing between each other. Then she got to work repairing the circuitry that was damaged at the deepest part of the wound. When that was finished, she worked on fixing the surrounding support frame and cables that were damaged or severed, using a low-powered welder to reconnect and strengthen. Next came the replacement wires for those she had taken out and she securely welded them in their proper places. When she was satisfied with the internal repairs, she started repairing his armor in that spot. She was able to repair much of it with what was there, but she had to cut out a few new pieces to replace that which had been lost. She cleanly welded each new piece on and then paused as she calculated what injury to tackle next.
Her next task was to remove any bullets that were lodged into his frame and repair what damage each had caused. She got to work starting with the bullet wounds on his upper back and then worked her way down. Her servos moved deftly as she had done this countless times before. When she had finished with what she could reach while he was laying on his front, she set down her tools for a moment. "Alright, I'm done with your back. I need you to flip over so I can take care of the damage to your chest." She said simply, all irritation gone from her voice. Working on repairs had a strange calming effect for her. Thus, while his comment remained in the back of her processor, it didn't bother her nearly as much.

Vaqus thusly did as he was told, flipping over after lifting himself on the berth with his arms. He was feeling better already, and his rotors whirred again, though they had a more cheerful ring to them. Vaqus himself was feeling much better, not much crankier. Vaqus had been thinking, and as his top half of his faceplate made itself visible as he clanked back down in a laying down position for the doctor, it was clear he was in a better mood.
He continued to vent normally, his venting was more hearable thanks to the mouth guard's breathing equipment. it actually helped Aquatronians vent in the normal ground-air, though Vaqus had taken the mouth guard for other reasons. It shielded some of his older scars, and some of who he had been, though he wasn't much for dark secrets. Vaquses rotors had stopped by now, since his hind aqua gear had adjusted so that he could lay flat on his back, roughly speaking.
Vaqus: Sorry about the comment earlier Chiro...I can't think up an excuse to say why I was irritated, so I'll just be honest. I would ask if you find this planet strange since it is not completely sub-merged, but I can see that you're meant for this kind of soil. But here's a question, and I'm not trying to call attention to myself, but have you ever swam before?
Vaqus really didn't know what else to talk about. Water was what he was familiar with, and to be constantly on the surface felt quite weird. The gravity felt off, and it was just strange how you couldn't simply maneuver to higher heights, just by triggering your rotors or moving your arms. It made Vaqus hope there was more water around then that sorry little creek he had seen earlier.

"Apology accepted, Vaqus." Chiro smiled at the mech before getting to work on repairing the scrapes, scratches, and bullet holes that littered his front, starting with his chest. She worked for a few minutes before answering his question.
"I have, but it's not easy." She worked a little more before continuing. "Though, I may have to practice more. While this planet is not completely submerged, it is seventy percent covered in water, be it fresh or salt water." She informed him. From his comment about the planet and his question, he obviously had just arrived and was still getting used to his new surroundings. She figured that maybe if the aquatic mech knew that there was plenty of water for him to swim in, that might help his mood even more. She continued working, but a slower pace than normal as she was attempting to keep up the conversation with the bored Vaqus.
