:: Hi mommy, do I have siblings? Because these two say they are my siblings. Panacea and.... Stormguy? And they have purple on them. Which autobot group is purple? ::
That was the comm that Chiro got from little Scaag.

Chiro had successfully repaired about half of the machines when she got a private comm from... Scaag? Why didn't he just come over from the lobby? And then she processed what he said.
::Stormcutter, is his name.::
Chiro couldn't help but correct Scaag. Her processor whirled. The twins were here, on Earth? She held her helm and sat down onto the floor next to the current machine she was working on. Emotions raged within her spark as the full situation slowly sunk in. The twins she partially raised. The ones she loved as her own so long ago. The wonderful daughter she taught her trade to who then went astray. The beloved son whom she pushed to go with her estranged daughter, breaking her spark as she was never to see him again.
And now, they were here. And Scaag was with them, but where? Here? At the Autobot base? No... There was no Autobot group with purple on them. It hit her. They had joined the Decepticons. But why? They were good medics. Yes, they had a personal falling out, but was long before the war was even rumored to happen. So what happened that caused them to join the 'Cons? After they had left her, she only heard from Stormcutter a handful of times afterwards and then silence for what felt like eons since then. She knew of tension between them and their higher-ups, but could that really have pushed them so far? No, there had to be more to it than just that. But what?
But they were here. On Earth. She could talk to them again. She could find out what happened. She could- She stopped herself and shook her helm slowly. She needed to give Scaag the proper answer, and soon. By technicalities, yes, yes they were his siblings. And they were calling themselves that with no prompting of her own. Did that mean... there was still hope? Possible. Or knowing how vengeful Panacea was so long ago, could the grudge still have a firm hold on her daughter's spark and now festered into a cruel plot? Was Stormcutter still honorable? Or did he fall as he followed his sister? They were 'Cons, after all.
For the first time in a long time, she didn't know what to do. There was no method or technique to help her. No easy and clean answer. Scaag could very well be in trouble, but how much trouble she couldn't guess. But at the same time, she couldn't bring herself to lie to her youngest son if, in fact, Panacea and Stormcutter wanted to come home to her again. She couldn't deny that possibility any more than denying the possibility of some cruel form of revenge due to a long-festering twisted grudge.
:: Where are you? And yes... Yes they are your siblings. However, there is no Autobot group with purple. Purple is the sign of the Decepticons. Please be careful. I have not seen them in so long. I... I have no idea what they want, if anything. Out of the two, I trust Stormcutter to keep you safe. Panacea and I got into a bad fight a long time ago and I have no idea what she is capable of now. Just... Please be careful until mommy can bring you home.::
Chiro sent that comm to Scaag and didn't move from where she sat on the floor for a good while. It all felt so surreal. She needed to do something, but she needed to know where he was. Then it dawned on her: the Groundbridge's records should show something. She quickly got up and ran out to the lobby where the medbay's groundbridge controls were.

Chiro returned to work in the Surgical Ward. She poured all her frustration and anxiety into her work, letting the therapeutic effects of repairing something do it's work on her processor. She needed to calm her mind before she could act. But she still wasn't sure what to do. Will it become a hostage situation? If it came to a fight, she knew she couldn't take on the Twins by herself. But who should she turn to? Most of the 'Bots were busy fighting already. And the others, would they care to help her?
It dawned on her that outside the medbay, she really didn't know her Autobot comrades. But, she was just a medic and there were always other medics around. It had always been that way. It never bothered her before, but why did it now?
It was because, for once, she may not be able to fix a mistake she made herself. A mistake she made long ago that she thought would never come back to bite her.
"Primus, help this old femme..."
She finally let her processor fall silent as she worked on the broken machines. Little by little, she repaired the Surgical Ward.

Form the chiming of a private comm, Chiro awoke from her working daze. Having nearly completed repairs of the Surgical Ward, she paused to process Scaag's new message.
::A 'painting desert'? And come where? Scaag, I need more specific directions than that description...::
She exvented. It was now or never.
::Ask... Ask Stormcutter to send me specific coordinates. He knows what frequency to use.::

Chiro frowned, but she really couldn't get upset with Scaag. He was a sparkling after all. She knew he probably didn't understand what she was really asking for, or even how to obtain that information. But, at least he was trying. She put her tools down, processing what to do aside from simply waiting for Stormcutter to contact her, if he was going to contact her.
::Thank you, Scaag. I will try to get there as soon as possible.::
Chiro exvented as she activated her datapad. With what little she had to work with, she began to look up places on Earth that matched Scaag's description.

A comm came through to Chiro on a familiar, but long unused frequency.
::Doctor Chiro, this is Stormcutter. Please respond.::

Chiro was in the middle of researching a human city called New York when she received the comm. She half froze when she recognized the old frequency and the sender, but she calmly responded. She felt like she was walking on egg shells, as the humans called it. One wrong word or move could spell disaster for a rescue attempt.
::Hello Stormcutter. This is Doctor Chiro. Are you able to provide specific co-ordinates for where I'm supposed to be going to meet with you and Panacea? Scaag wasn't exactly… clear.::
Chiro's spark swirled in anxiety as she waited for his response. She was pretty sure she knew Scaag's general location, but New York City was fairly sizable. As she waited, she slowly paced around the room, trying to keep her processor clear of her emotions. This wasn't a time to simply act without some form of a plan, but the situation hinged on unknown factors she couldn't predict.

A moment later, another comm came through.
::Thou may come here, yes. However, all signals, except for a select area, are currently being jammed by Scaag as they cause him pain. Additionally, Panacea, Scaag and I are not alone and I cannot speak for what our companion may or may not do, should thou arrive here. For Scaag's sake, I suggest that thou meet us in a location the humans call the 'Painted Desert'. The name alone seems to have interested the sparkling and from what I know, it is a place far from any human city.::

Chiro stopped pacing and closed her optics as she processed the comm. She exvented, both relieved that Stormcutter was informing her of the situation and worried that he wasn't telling her everything. She knew she really had no room to argue, they were the ones holding all of the information: the status of Scaag, their current location, who and how many others were with them, the exact co-ordinates of the meetup location, the price... She exvented again as more of the situation dawned on her. It really was a hostage situation and she knew the Twins wouldn't simply hand over Scaag without something in return. In theory, that was how the typical hostage situation would peacefully resolve. In practice, who knew what would really happen? She needed to be prepared for anything.
::Very well. I will meet you at the Painted Desert. Is there anything else I should know?::
Chiro admitted to herself that it may not have been the smartest thing to ask of a hostage-holder, but if Stormcutter was anything like he used to be, she knew he would tell her the answer straight. Or so she hoped.

Chiro stood there a moment before sitting down on a nearby berth. She stared at the datapad in her hand as the breaking news popped up on the website she was looking at. She simply processed the information and saved it for review later as the forefront of her processor was occupied by personal matters.
"Only my presence..."
Chiro repeated aloud. A sinking feeling sat within her Spark. What were they planning? Trade her life for his? She heavily considered this thought. Then another thought broke into her processor. She needed to tell someone what was going on, even if she was to go alone. That way, if nothing else, someone would know what had happened to her should the worse case scenario occurred.
While she waited for the co-ordinates, she needed to keep herself occupied. She quickly finished the repairs she had been doing for the Surgical Ward and took the "Do Not Use" sign off the main door of said Ward. She then grabbed the bag of parts and heads she got from Whirl and headed to the storage room.

The doors slid apart, automatically flickering the lights on as her large peddes hit the ground. She partially cradled the sparkling while quickly searching through the machinery. There was a table centered the room, pointed it out to Whirl.
"Set him there, I'm going to plug his spark in, then I can get to work to repairing the energon leaks."
She still had a tighter hold on the sparkling to prevent him from squirming free.

Whirl put Whiteclaw on the table, then picked up a selection of surgical tools in his claws as he studied Whiteclaw's body, "You know, he's going to offline in a few minutes," he states, his high-pitched voice having an almost bored tone, "His Spark's going into Arrythmia and there's damage to multiple vital fuel lines. No point hooking him up to an Energon fuel line 'til you've fixed those up - he'll pump it out as fast as you can shove it back in."
Stellenne is probably giving him a look right now, because how the frag can a psychotic killer with massive claws in place of his hands know a single damn thing about medicine. Whirl just leans on a wall and picks at some ugly scars on his wrists, peeling off a scab and flicking it aside.

Cobalt quietly whines as he's held by Stellene. He wants to see what's happening, but it's oldly comforting for him. The sparkling sighs as he stops figeting to try and break free. But the bot returns to his squirmy nature when he hears that Whiteclaw is dying. White was what he had left. Almost like a new father to him. Y-you know how to fix him, r-right? Cobalt asks in an almost whiny voice. He wasn't ready for something like this all over again.

The body of the giant mech remains motionless in almost all ways. The optics of Whiteclaw are black. In there isn't any way to see if he's alive or not. The only way to know about the weak spark condition would be thanks by a scanner or another device. In there is only 10 mins to save the White's spark.

"You don't say." She said in absolute sarcasm, pulling up an empty tray and setting the sparkling down.
"It's not an energon line, either." She quickly strode to a taller machine and began to push it over to the berth with a grunt. She unlatched a heavy wire and quickly turned to the predacon, having to partially crawl over half of his chasis to reach chest plate. With a large amount of effort, she removed the heavy armor and exposed his wirings, along with the heavily damaged spark chamber. Winding her arm back, the femme struck the wire into his spark. It caused his entire frame to move from the powerful slam. Sliding off of the bot, the silver curvaceous being moved to the machine and lifted a heavy leaver. It shot to life, and a radiant blue electric light shot through the tube-like wires. It was mad science at its finest.
Between a pant, the femme straightened herself and lifted her chin proudly as the energy flowed into the sparkchamber. "It's a spark life support system. Provides energy to the body to keep it online until I can get the repairs completed and energon levels restored."
Now she turned and began to collect a tray full of large heavy-duty utensils before she would get to fixing. To make the sparkling a little more relaxed, she tried to make conversation while she worked.
"He won't be offlining now, see this big glowing cord? It will keep energy to his spark. So I can fix him.So what's your name little one?"

Cobalt smiled knowing White wasn't going down. The medic seemed nice, and the intimidating mech wasn't so bad himself. I'm Cobalt. White saved me when I was lost. But then a big flying mech showed up and started to shoot us. The sparkling didn't like what had happened, why had the jet shot them? It didn't make sense to his naive mind. He shuffled quietly, staring intently at the glowing tube conected to the predacon's chestplates, it gave him hope. He still wanted to know where he was though, Whiteclaw had never told him. Um, where are we? White never said...
