Zenith entered the room, following Nova's energy signature to guide him there, looking pretty scrapped up himself, he noticed Nova prepping to get a new paint job. he sat down and waited, he himself wanted something done about his paint.

Nova was enjoying the attention he was getting, its been too long anybot had touched his frame like this, he was closing his optics and sighing in relief, he felt quite nice as he felt him cleaning him up, then he began to strip down his paint, he asked about what had happened.
Bunch of neutrals discovered my ship, and not the friendly kind either, these were a bunch of capricious ones, and I suspect that they may not even be after my mine, or after capturing me, but were after my ship in general. This really disturbs me, we managed to scramble one of their memories, but the others, they may simply come back with more bots, trying to get at my ship.
Nova explained, he noticed that Zenith had entered the room, he smiled and waved to him.
Zenith! oh hey, your awake, and looking pretty dinged up, but otherwise you look healthy.
Nova said with a huge smile on his face.

"I see. Did you leave anyone to guard it then?" He inclined his helm to greet the second flier. It looked like Wheelspin came from a prolonged vacation only to end up having a full time job in the workshop. Well that intent on getting some more energon had to be postponed again. He was carefully grinding the paint away, applying equal pressure to all surfaces until they were stripped to their base metal. In other places, which were hard to reach he replaced the simple 'sander' with a high-pressure nozzle that would allow blasting the remaining scraps away allowing for clean edges. He was careful too, not spending too much time in one place, not to warp the metal or stretch it. He did it for the top half of Nova's frame first.
"Side." He murmured and nudged the tall seeker to shift onto his side so that he could continue his work all the way down. "Why would Neutrals want to attack you at all?" He murmured as he lowered the nozzle only to start cleaning again. There wasn't too much work to be done there. Nova did most. Satisfied he returned to the stripping of paint. Some would not remove too much, but he wanted a clean slate and the tall flier would not feel any of it anyway, what with the receptors being dulled down.
When that was finished he replaced his tools again. Base paint would be black, just like the the main coat, he'd spray clear pearl coat over that and of course the flame design, making it as realistic as he could do.
"Do you want reflective finish? I can advice against it but in the end it is your choice."

Yes, I left Sparkflare there, and well, someone else seemed to have entered the ship, in a rather unorthodox way, but since the ships defenses did not go off, I can assume its an autobot, since that is the only ones my ship will not fire upon, so I presume he or she is still there. As for why? I have no clue, these clearly had some secret agenda, and were obviously hired to come after my ship, something or someone was after my belongings, I do not know what they want with me or my stuff, I do not know what they expect to find, unless my ship holds some secret that even I know nothing about, my sire did buy it for me, its an older ship, but one that is in excellent condition, perhaps, there was something on it that someone else wanted.
Nova said, Nova then laid on his side Nova was purring his engines softly in contentment, he was enjoying this so much, the ammount of attention he received was more than he had in vorns.
I would like a finish that is somewhat shiny, but not so terribly so that it would grab the attention of the wrong bot, but at the same time would catch the right bots attention, primarily the one sitting over there.
Nova said, making a clear hint he had clear interest in Zenith to be his Conjunx Endura.

Nova, your getting yourself all prettied up for me? I see, it is clear now that you have interest in me, if your wanting me to be your Conjunx Endura, then I accept it, I would love to be your Sparkmate. I accept with all of my spark.
Zenith said, he knew Nova, he was a romantic, and he wanted to make the moment perfect and he wanted to look perfect for him, and this attractive looking mech that was working on him looked like he was worth his energon with the way he had Nova purring his engines under his attention.

"One of them huh.." Wheelspin commented on the fact that the ship was purchased for the flier, but didn't say anything more on the topic. It wasn't his business, it wasn't his ship either and really, all he needed to focus on at the moment was to do his job well.
"Ah.." He glanced at Zenith again then at Nova. "....There. No need for a paint job. Clearly your friend has amped up his audials and downgraded his manners not to listen in on other's conversations." He rolled his optics. He reckoned the two must have known each other for a little longer or that was the least thought out attempt at a bonding ever. But as before, it wasn't his business. Making a paintjob that would reflect his skill, was.
He asked Nova to get off the table then, while he remained standing on it with the can of paint that he was going to apply to the clean surface. Yes, he'd blasted some air at high pressure at the taller flier to remove any trace of paint or dirt before beginning with the first application, but that was it. Then, if Nova did as he asked, he would begin with the first application of the actual paint.

Nova realized that Zenith picked up on his intentions, his spark flared up, he stood up. he put his arms out for his base coat, he was happy though, he will soon be bonded to his conjunx endura and will soon have a family of his own, something he had yearned for, he did not like the fact that he was chiding his conjunx endura to be, but he decided it was best to let that little chide slide, and decided that perhaps he was right about his behavior.
Awww, dearspark, that is wonderful, I was going to ask you later, but you figured it out and accepted correctly. we will find out where to perform the ceremony or who will perform it for that matter. Though, perhaps you should take his advice and remember your manners, I am not mad at you, but the mech working on me does not appreciate having someone eavesdrop on what he is talking about, I just want to let you know that your not in trouble, I just wanted to make sure you knew your manners were missing, that's all, so you did not make a further aft of your self, I would of appreciated it if it was I who made an aft of my self and you reminded me to remember my manners.
Nova said, basically not letting his annoyance show, he knew that Wheelspin was right, he did kinda butt in, and Nova kindly let Zenith know that he was sort of stepping out of line while gently encouraging him to actually do the same should he end up making an aft of himself in the future. he felt the nice fresh clean feeling of new paint being applied, he relished in the fresh scent of it, it was pleasant to him, and he could feel it coating him well.

Oh, I did not mean to intrude, its just when I heard Nova mention he was doing it for me, I knew he had to be making himself look good for a Conjunx Endura ceremony, meaning he was going to propose to me, but I should have kept my dermas shut, you are right sir, I should have kept my audials turned down and my manners amped up instead of how they were, I did not mean to be rude.
Zenith said, his faceplates heated up a bit, he was a tiny bit embarrassed that he did not wait until they were in private to say it.
Darling, its fine, I saw I had done something stupid and corrected myself, if anything I was acting like some gossipy femme and that is NOT how I am.
Zenith explained himself.

The doors slid open to the workshop and Sparkflare and Skidmark walked in. Sparkflare held two Autobot insignias in his hand. The thing different about these insignia's was that they were respondant to an Autobot's LED lights. If the LEDs were on, the insignia was on. The two sat in a corner away from anyone else in the room. Sparkflare grabbed a welding torch, placed the first insignia on Skidmark's chest and branded the insignia onto the mech, repaying the favour he had asked Skidmark to repaint Sparkflare. Applying the war paint to Skidmark's face was not enough. Sparkflare showed great ease in welding the insignia that he was doing it at a decent pace that suggested the branding would take only a minute or two.

WheelSpin shook his helm. "You two do know that you don't need the excuse of preparing for some grand ceremony, to want to have a good painjob?" He glanced in the direction of the new arrivals and paused as they went on to do work in his workshop. For a moment he lowered the can and seemed look just a little appalled. "What hack did your paint??!" He asked his tone of voice betraying exactly how he felt. He'd have called it a botched up job, if he could. Actually he would and he did. Muttering something along the lines of - everybody thinks they're the master just because they held a paintbrush once... and that it should not even be done with a brush anyway as that was barbaric and there were worse things about cleanliness of the surface that would be worked on etc. He went on to rant about that and what Sparkflare and @skidmark were doing, while during all this time actually applying a steady, clean coat of Nova's base paint. He walked around to reach all the areas needed and only asked Nova to turn when reaching it would mean he needed to hop off the table. "You are far from done but I need this to dry and cure first." He murmured once he was fully done with the sections he could. "Your paint is more suitable to higher temperatures and prolonged heat exposure. Well, Not that I really need to be telling you that. Just know, it should survive Jet form. I will need you to transform once we're set with the next paint layer. I'd like the flames to 'fuse' seamlessly when you are in your alt form and since you are going for a more realistic........" He paused. "Well, just do what I tell you and you'll be fine."

Nova took in the paint, he felt relaxed and comfortable, then Sparkflare and Skidmark showed up with some fancy light up brand, he would of liked one of those, but he was contented with his own brand, he knew the different between want and need, he needed a brand, and got one, he wanted a flashy one, but could live with out it, Nova was not picky about it, a brands a brand, it identifies him as an autobot, therefore he had no problem with the one he had, then he noticed he had began ranting at Skidmark and Sparkflare. Nova pretty much decided it was best to let him do his own thing, he was ranting, and this was a good indication this guy had a fiery temper, he would rather that he stay on his good side.
Well, I pretty much needed this, my paint job needed an update, it got slagged up pretty badly in battle, and then Zenith arrived during the battle we both got thrashed in, and now, I wanna look real good for him, and I am sure he will want you to make him look good for me, we just want to look good for one another, I just want to look presentable, and have a paint job that I feel good in. Hmm, I will do that once the paint is set, I would love the flames onto meld in to my alt form, though you might have to apply part of it in my robot mode just to fill in the gaps where it would not have covered in alt form.
Nova said, he was patiently waiting for the paint to dry, while gazing upon his beloved.

Zenith noticed Nova was gazing upon him, he felt wanted and loved, he smiled back at him, he finally had that special someone to share his life with, and he gazed upon Nova in response, he was very happy right now, they had waited for so long to return to one another, and now, they are together. Zenith just sat their waiting for his lovers paint job to be finished.

Shatter walked into the room, his grim complexion ruining the pleasant atmosphere. He shook his helm. It didn't help. He set up a workbench for himself, and began construction of Wingover's protoform, his servos shaking lightly. He tried to calm himself, yet nothing worked. His craftsmanship, however, felt no negative repercussions. He was as skillful as ever. He was told to make a protoform, so he made a base one. No vehicle form. Average height. Skyspray would decide any other differences, if it was to be exactly the same or not.

And Sparkflare was done with the branding. As soon as Autobrand registered Skidmark's systems, the Brand turned itself on the traditional red. The placement and alignment of the brand was perfect to say the least. Sparkflare didn't even need to set up a table, measurement equipment and what have you. With Skidmark's Autobrand done. Sparkflare moved on to branding himself. That's right, he was branding himself.
The mech weld the insignia in one hand agasint his chestplating and with the other, welded on the brand. While doing this, Sparkflare kept on a deadpan expression as he did this. He didn't see as much of a challenge. He couldn't help but hear Wheelspin ranting on about him and Skidmark.
"If you've got a problem with me or my friend, at least be a mech and say it to our faces. I can hear you from over here. Hey Shatter."

WheelSpin turned to look in the direction of Sparkflare and Skidmark: "Very well. Your paintjob is at best.. Ok, I can't call it mediocre, that would be a compliment to the botched up job you did there. It is leaning more to 'what the frag were you doing, were you blind and drunk on high grade??!', and it isn't just the application of it either or the choice of tool." He rolled his optics typing in some commands into the table so that it could, via heat, help the first layer of paint set evenly and more quickly.
" Have you ever heard of cleaning up the surface before you apply? Or maybe that if you've got a chipped, or damaged paint, you'd do better to strip it down to the base before application? By the looks of it, from way over here, I would say you just went on and applied it without any prepping, or actual attempt at cleaning at all or consideration in what you were using to paint him with in the first place."
He wasn't finished although he paused when Nova suggested that he would should also change back to reach some of the areas that he might not, when painted in alt form. "Don't tell me what to do, flyboy. Did I say I'd do a half afted job? Don't tempt me." And then his attention was back with the two new arrivals.
"As for what you are doing now? You are lucky that that brand actually even stands in a considerably satisfactory spot and isn't tilted badly. The welding, I bet, could need some work as well. " He rolled his optics. "Just because you are capable of holding a tool, doesn't mean you should."
He glanced over at the latest arrival and saw he was working on something bigger. He arched his optic ridge curiously. Now that one at least looked like he was more at home in such a place as a workshop. " Hey."

"Why thank you ot was exactly what I wanted my paint to have been. I'm not the egotistical arse I used to be. I grew up. Then again, we had been distracted by our ship getting blown up and travelling back in time when Skidmark was doing this. Besides your... rainbow design is not the best thing if you're not wanting to get shot at. Or y'know looking like a clown. But you're paint your choice. I can't tell you what to do. You're a cosmetic surgeon, right?"
Yet Sparkflare could tell Wheelspin what to do. He was the Maximus now. The third of command. Sparkflare was then finished with his own branding. The brand did not turn into any sort of colour however. It remained black, indicating Sparkflare's highlights were off.
"I used a small device that altered something in Sparlflare's previous paint to the paint that you currently see now. No setting up required. The Circle of Light gave it to us."
Skidmark said, answering Wheelspin's question. Sparkflare frowned as he saw Wheelspin telling Novaflame to keep quiet. Sparkflare stood up and and walked over to Wheelspin and crossed his arms. Time to act like an authority figure.
"Soldier, what is your job within the Autobot faction? Cause it looks like to me that you consider yourself a cosmetic surgeon. Have ever heard of the term of "The costumer' is always right."? Before the war started, the Functionists forced me into the job as a cosmetic surgeon. I had to be good at it since it was my function. If I wasn't then I would've been discarded as one of Cybertron's forgotten- casteless. And you know what? I was good at it even though I hated it. The only way you'd get paid good money was if you followed what the customer wanted. If you're job is to grant the wishes of someone's aesthetical look, then it is your duty to follow their instructions. As the new Maximus of the Autobots, do I make myself clear? Or should I do your job for you and possibly prove that just because you're capable of holding to tool, doesn't mean you should?"

Nova frowned, he never intended to tell what to do, he was asking him, but in hindsight he may have come across as such, he felt himself grow a little stressed, he hoped for a good buffing aftwards to sooth his neural net, he did not like being around those who are yelling and projecting negative energies from their EM fields, it made him jumpy and jittery, his wings were feeling twitchy, but he kept them steady with a lot of concentration.
I never intended to tell you what to do, I am sorry if it came across as such, but I was just stating what I wanted.
Nova said, he was nervous, he did not wish to get yelled at again, he did not like being yelled at, it reminded him of the brigands that were trying to kill his trine mates, who yelled nasty things, just because they were fliers and the attackers were grounders, my brothers would not take to the skies because they had honor and would fight on their level and look where it got them. no sooner had Nova killed them, they themselves got killed by the tarnian captain, it was a slow and lingering death too once he was maimed by a grenade.

"If you were a little more attentive, you would probably realise that this is not intent to resemble a rainbow, but that the hues that present themselves at a given angle - and yes, it does change - .." He had moved as if to make that clear.
".. are indeed closer to the oil spill effect. Not only that, but should I have the need to be more 'reserved', I can alter my colouration suitably to black. But no matter." While waiting for the paint to set, he actually checked the consistency and ratio of the paint that would be applied as the second coat and that that would make what his customer wanted, a pearl effect, to it.
"I am a tuning, modification, customisation specialist, and.. that, yes." He was satisfied with the paint that he prepared, counting the number of applications he needed before the final effect should be as desired. "And I engineer some of the body work and paints that I use." He would have said more, but he thought that perhaps this was neither the time nor the place for bragging... too much.
When Sparkflame approached Wheelspin, the much shorter bot slowly arched his neck until his gaze was locked again on the other Autobot. His expression was defiant, even if the height difference alone should have given him some reason for humility. He did not allow the other the pleasure of believing he felt in any way intimidated. He was not. He was used to others being taller than him.
He looked a little startled when he was addressed as soldier. "I am more than that." He answered, his engine revving up almost as if to emphasize his words. This arrival was the new Maximus? He bit back a retort that threatened to escape and finally waited till Sparkflare was fully finished. ".... I need to hear what the customer wants to have done, I need not hear them tell me how to do my job,..sir." The last -sir- was added almost as an insult. "Now... permission to actually do it, sir?"

Nova felt the tension rising, he was actually scared, he was worried that if Wheelspin kept heckling Sparkflare, who has apparently be upgraded from shoot on sight to maximus, which was fine by him, it made things a little easier on him, it means they are less likely to shoot on him, and thus less likely to turn himself in for harboring him, it could lead to Sparkflare getting more physical, then he WOULD be half aft done, he was shaken up, he wanted this arguing to stop, he gave a pained look to Zenith, who gave an equally helpless look to Nova, Nova knew he could only offer a sympathetic look, there was little else he could do.
He kept still, he had to hide his fears, he had this sense that the autobots he knew was no more, new leader, new leading style, and suddenly, the autobots he can no longer recognize, he have to become braver, braver to not let his fear consume him, but certainly not push it down either, let it drive him, let him stand tall, not cower every time he gets scared. He silently reminded himself that there is a time and a place for everything, and this is not the time or the place for that, mulling it over and over in his processor, using it as a means of entering a peaceful state of mind, he was already becoming more relaxed, he thought of things that made him happy, things that calmed him, things that gave him joy.
He was finally feeling stronger and braver, he realized he had found something that worked, he no longer was scared, he still felt fear, but not crippling, leak lubricant all over the place scared, but more or less he used his fear to fuel his resolve and to make the right decisions, this was not his place to yell at the maximus, or at the one who was providing him top notch service for free.

Sparkflare stood his ground, his frown remained on his face. He noticed that Wheelspin revved his engines when he said he more than just a soldier that he raised a brow. The sir was also very obvious. If one was highly perspective, they'd notice Sparkflare's hands tensing up. It looked like Sparkflare was planning to hit Wheelspin. But that was until he gave out a small chuckle and shook his head. Sparkflare was actually resisting the need to laugh. Wheelspin's attitude remind Sparkflare of his much younger self. "General!" "He's no good. Book 'em." A Protectobot responded to a blue mech known as Nitros was walking out of an interrogation room. Then there was a slam of another door to the interrogation room.
"FRAGGING! Book that mother-"
It was a mech holding gripping the front of his faceplate. A strike commander within the Autobot ranks. The mech was known as Barrage before he would later die in battle. "I want that afthole stuck inside so far into Garrus 9 that he'll never see the sun again! Some low lifes just can't be helped."
He said as he moved his hand away from his face, showing that his mouth had been burst and it was leaking. Nitros raised an optic ridge from under his visor. He was now curious of seeing who was behind Barrage's mishap.
"The low lives giving you a hard time, commander?" Nitros asked as he walked up to Barrage. Barrage looked at Nitros and raised an optic ridge. As he looked at the energon in his hands. "Some delinquints cannot see a good cause no matter what. I'm glad this one is going to Garrus 9." "I bet you twenty shanix to see if I can't change their mind?" Nitros asked. It seemed that Barrage was serious about sending this one to Garrus 9 just for stealing Autobot supplies and standing against the senate with other Nyonians. "Fine by me." Barrage responded.
The room was dark, a single light was hanging over a young mech (most likely 16 (nearing 17) years old in Cybertronian terms) with his hand tied behind a chair. The sound of the door unlocking filled the room and the young mech optics looked up to see who was entered. Nitros took a few steps in and noticed the young mech inside. This was the one that was being sent to Garrus 9? He was just a kid. "Well... Frag..." Nitros said.
"Ya here to play bad cop?" The young mech asked sarcastically as his eyes tracked Nitros' movements. "You're just a kid." Nitros said. The young mech moved his body forward and revved up his engines in sync of whenever his tone got aggressive, trying to intimidate the General as he spoke. "Oh yeah? I'm sure your partner in IDIOCY thinks the same thing after I busted in his dumb fraggin-" The mech was soon inturrpted by Nitros who started to lightly laugh.
"An Autobot strike commander, Barrage, done in by a child." The laughter from Nitros soon died down as he started to speak again to the young mech. "Look kid. Right now you're signing a one way ticket to Garrus 9. It's not the nicest of prisons to be in. You're not dumb. You know this, and I know this. Your life will end before it even starts. If you don't want to play hero that's fine. Just don't be an idiot." "Why do you care?"
"I was recently promoted to general and I could use a messenger to deliever my messages securely. Right now I'm only running just 20 shanix on this." The young mech looked up at Nitros. Confused was his current expression. "Hold up. You want me to join your faction to run errends for you? All because he made a bet with Captain Bull-" "Barrage." Nitros said, interrupting the young mech. "Whatever. For 20 shanix?" "20 shanix. No more, no less. If you agree you will be placed under my command. It will help clear-" The young mech started to laugh, looking down and litly shanking his head as he did so. Just the verification of 20 shanix was all he needed to hear. That and Garrus 9 not being the most nicest of places to be in. The mech looked up at Nitros, a smirk on his face.
"I'll do it. The name"s Sparkflare by the way." Snapping back to reality, the mech looked down at Wingover. His laughter stopping. "Just listen. Sooner or later you're gonna find your attitude to end up being unhealthy for you. Just don't be blinded by your perfection to not notice a mistake you have made and that you're gonna end up making later. I had your attitude once, and it gave me nothing with ever lasting grief and almost a one way ticket to Garrus 9. And that was when the Autobots were starting to be more like the Decepticons and the Decepticons became something much worse than the Autobots when the war began. And yes, the Decepticons used to the be the good guys. Permission granted if you do it properly. We Autobots, from what I gathered from Skyspray, are down to just 500 of us left alive. The last thing we need is people slacking off on the job. Now if you'll excuse me, I got some catching up to do."Sparkflare turned to Skidmark, who was checking his brand with his sword to see if Wheelspin was right about it falling off with out piercing it. Sparkflare raised an optic ridge at his friend as he started to walk out the room. Skidmark shrugged as he sheathed his sword and quickly. "And don't rev your engines when your trying to emphasize your words. It doesn't help your claims. Trust me."
