If there was one thing Astrinal wasn't good at, It was relying on others for help. Infact, Astrinal had been pondering for the last few minutes on how exactly Sparkflare and herself would reach the city. The excavation tunnel lead to a dead drop; anyone would die if they fell through without a proper plan. This wasnt going to be a simple knife trick down the shaft. Astrinal looked down in displeasure.
The mentioning of Vating caught Astrinal's attention; that name sounded familiar. "Oh, yah, Vating. Let's say our first meeting wasn't the brightest." Astrinal stated. "Now that it occurs to me, I accidently beat the scrap out of him in Brisban while trying to fight Kaon.." It wasn't a complete lie; she did beat him up. However, the moment was a series of bad decisions to save her skin. Thank god Kaon didnt see my face.
The gunfire far above did not help with these thoughts. Skyspray would have to be another mech to put on her 'yup they hate me' list. "Skyspray still sounds like a disturbed individual when he first." Astrinal stated. It was a blunt, yet obvious comment. Before she could continue, Sparkflare said something about 'trying to resist'. "Please Sparkflare, now isn't the time to crack jokes-"
If Astrinal had been looking up, she would have seen Sparkflare's hand and moved out of the way. But clearly, his snatch for her abdomen wasn't meant to be hostile, but to place her on his back. Without question, Astrinal grabbed onto anything Sparkflare's backplate could offer. She also prayed whatever this mech was about to do wasn't going to kill them. And sure enough, her suspicious became true.
Sparkflare released his grip on the interior of the elevator shaft and fell downward. Butterfies filled the interior of Astrinal's midsection, and where suddenly haulted by Sparkflare's grappling hook. Astrinal released a quiet oof from the haulted momentum. She also began to groan in annoyance, and Sparkflare's half assed apology wasn't going to cut it.
"For the love of Primus, next time you want to try and kill us let me know." Astrinal's words struck with a sense of sarcasm. "Because I will politely decline your offer."
With no reins to the current situation, Astrinal was left dangling on Sparkflare's back.

The explosions in the building behind Shadow-Strike though destructive where ultimately pointless as the vehicon squad that had once been in the structure was already crossing the gap, Wheelspin's delay from leaving cover preventing his trap from claiming any victims when the explosions began.
In a similar manner the destruction of the building led to no deaths or even injuries though it was a little more impressive, as the support struts buckled and shattered from the combination of shrapnel and explosive force, causing the weight of the building to transfer quickly to less and less powerful supports until they quickly crumbled one by one in a display which left the building shrinking in on itself. Instead of killing or injuring anyone though the most the impressive environmental damage did was force Shadow-Strike to temporarily dampen his hearing, an action which caused him to miss the distinct activation of Sparkflare's grappling hook. Which in turn caused the Decepticon assassin to not react instantly when the two descended under the cover of the rumbling collapse.
Any such discreet advantage to the duo's descent though was easily ruined when Shadow-Strike's optics shifted from the collapsing building back to the hole and by extent the two Cybertronian's hanging from a wire above him. In that regards Shadow-Strike's next action was only natural, his right servo transforming in a second as demonic claws and an armoured gauntlet were replaced by the long barrel of a pathblaster, it's glowing inners sparking for a second as a single energy round left it's chamber and flew into the sky. Quicker than a blink it moved through it's target, cutting straight into the wire of the grappling hook without even slowing down until it finally hit the ceiling and dissipated under the shielding that suddenly activated.
Aside him now the Vehicon's who had originally gone hunting Wheelspin supplied their own firepower with their own target having fled, causing more than a dozen lasers to fire up towards the duo.

The building may have appeared at first as if it would simply fold in on itself, but this was not a perfectly prepared demolition and the probability of that happening was rather small, not only because WS was short on time. He never intended for the building to just crash into itself and leave all the buildings near it untouched. No, the positioning of some of the containers was such that the explosions would cause it to slant to one side. The side where Shadowstrike resided on his high perch.
This happened perhaps at about the time Shadow-Strike and his vehicons turned their attention towards the hole above them, rather than the collapsing building. That was a mistake not that WS could have planned it so. He hoped and took a risk, but that is all that it was. He'd expected to destroy the vehicons before they left the building and hoped that Shadow-Strike would just be next, by the association of the collapse.
The support walls on one side crumbled faster than those at the other, weight distributing itself to the side that was dipping forward, only quickening its progress. And then the top and the side long that part of the building was crashing into the one that Shadow was standing on. Its combined weight would probably be enough to cause extensive damage to the second building if not to bring it down as well. Any vehicon that was close to the edge would be bound to loose footing as the main support walls, and a good portion of the exposed side of that building began to crumble.
If they did not get off the building in time, and there was a very small window of opportunity offered, mainly to those who were fliers and could lift off, they would be caught by the destruction. Almost none was given to the ones that had ground vehicles as alt forms. Those had the greatest probability of plummeting to their deaths below and would probably have been covered in the fallen debris of the two buildings combined once they hit the ground.
WheelSpin had gone to drive up the one building he had landed in before. He needed to get a better vantage point from where he could see if he could get a shot at the Decepticon. He had not been aware of there being new arrivals, Sparkflare and Astrinal, into the old city. He still worked with the belief that he was alone and thus, keeping out of sight, while he sought a better position, was essential. If the plan worked to any extent, he would hope to see the Decepticon in a vulnerable position. If not, well, he still had the cover of the building.

"I wasn't joking."
Sparkflare said as he continued the descent down into the city. He was also a little disheartened that Ast thought Sparkflare was joking. Forcing a change on his personality was hard. Not something that can just happen over-night if it was possible for him. When Astrinal mentioned Kaon and Brisbane, Sparkflare's memory clicked. He recalled Skidmark talking about his short term as Kaon once. It was mostly Skyspray appearing on the battlefield to frag him over.
"I met a Kaon when I was on exile. He defected after seeing how much the Autobots and Decepticons had changed. I think you may have met him. He was the one with swords."
Suddenly Sparkflare heard the shot of a path blaster, then heard the sound of his grapple breaking which was shortly followed by an increase of speed in Sparks and Ast's descent. In other words, they were falling down to the city streets. Sparkflare's first reaction was to check his grappling hook and how long it would take until he could fire another grapple. 10 seconds. More than enough time. But would it be able to support both Sparkflare and Astrinal's weight and momentum? An interesting question, but not something Sparkflare was wanting to test. Whilst waiting for the grappling hook to be deployable, there was a faint sound of transformation coming from Sparkflare's legs as he prepared them with stabilisers, shock absorbers and what have you. Landing wasn't going to be kind.
A faint series beeps was heard. Sparkflare recognised it as his grappling being ready. Without a second of hesistation, Sparkflare shot his grapple and Ast and tethered her to the closest, stable building, while he continued on his fall. Sparkflare then hit the ground, pedes first, dust rose into the air as Sparkflare summersaulted forwards and slid across the ground. The preperations he had made to his legs would've made him do that. Sparkflare placed his right hand on his right thigh as he forced himself up into a stand. The landing took a toll of his legs. With his visor still activated, he made a quick internal scan of himself. Legs were damaged from the fall but not fully, thanks to his preperations. They were still functional to use, just sore and stiff.
"I'm okay."
Sparkflare shouted up to Astrinal as he looked at the city streets. He grimmaced as he was reminded of the Nyon. Before it was destroyed into the wasteland of burnt up slag metal. To call Nyon a city in ruins was far too kind. And far from the truth.

Astrinal wasn't the type of person to willingly sit around and relax. While the femme hung from Sparkflare's back, she'd taken the moment to inspect the underground city. From what she could see through her visor, the city was vast with several towering buildings. Since it was underground, Astrinal assumed the city wasnt limited to these buildings. the city might be connected by tunnels or drilled highways. Astrinal inspected.
Astrinal didn't pay much attention to the collapsing building. Infact, the ex-intelligence officer wasn't surprised by the presence of other autobots and decepticons. It was expected. If anything was a collapsing warzone, this city was bound to be. However, unlike the kalahari desert, not to many have gotten past the Scrapstorm of a fight. Sparkflare and Astrinal were one of the lucky ones. Skyspray must have done something.. drastic.
Astrinal was torn from her thoughts when the femme noticed an unsettling site. Astrinal had the optics of a hawk, so spotting a mech's figure upon a tower caused Astrinal to seize up and prepare herself for primus knows what. At such an exposed position, she assumed the mech was going to snipe Sparkflare and herself. But something worse happened. A loud SNAP emitted from the grappling hook wire, which caused the duo to freefall to there death. Astrinal gripped Sparkflare's backplate in an attempt to not make a bigger target for the sniper. She had no idea how much time passed. However, Astrinal suddenly watched as Sparkflare signed her death warrant. Within a few seconds, Astrinal was catapulted by Spark's grappling hook. The sharp change in her momentum caused the femme to experience a world of discomfort.
During the few seconds of air she had, Astrinal knew two things. One, she was being grappled to the nearest building. And second, her landing was going to hurt.. alot. Sparkflare's aiming allowed Astrinal to not be a pancake upon impact. Astrinal's battered black and green armor was hurled into the window of a skyscraper. her landing wasn't the smoothest, but the femme was able to roll and finish in a crouch within the center of the building's corridor. By the time she was standing, she couldn't help but curse Sparkflare out for his surprise actions. Yet, at the same time, she couldn't help but wonder what Sparkflare's situation was. All she knew was that he was 'okay'.
The corridors Astrinal was in provided decent cover from the sniper. Small spaces were actually Astrinal's strong suit. With nothing to loose, Astrinal armed one of her servos with a corrosive shotgun. The other was remained exposed incase she met any surprising visitors. :: You better be okay. :: Astrinal sent a commlink to Sparkflare. Since she was an ex-autobot, she still had some of her contacts. Sparkflare's was on her list. :: At least be functional so I can give you a good kicking for saving my life.. in a reckless way. ::
By now, Astrinal found herself heading up a staircase. According to her previous inspection, Astrinal assumed she was located in a small tower southwest of the sniper. This building also had a series of catwalks that branched into the city. What Astrinal needed was to find a place to deal with the sniper, and then do some recon and find a groundbridge station. From there- well- it was a matter of getting Astrinal and Sparkflare's ass out of this joint.
It took Astrinal a few floors to reach top floor. Sadly, it wasn't the roof access. The top floor was similar to an observatory, only with less space and few windows. Astrinal crowded and made her way towards the window pointing north. The window was already shattered, which gave Astrinal an easier task of making less sound. Swapping her shotgun for a sniper rifle, Astrinal made herself at home with a foxhole. Astrinal used her visor's scope mode to find Sparkflare. right now, she needed to find out what her ally was dealing with.

Out of the surrounding skyscrapers the one that Shadow-Strike and his vehicon allies where standing on was one of the smallest. It was due to that Shadow-Strike had originally decided to move to another building before the arrival of Wheelspin had caused him and his soldiers to move back to their original landing point. In that regards the chase had been a mistake with the advantage of their position lost in exchange for nothing. As by the time they'd returned from their failed pursuit Sparkflare and Astrinal had arrived, providing little time for the group to fire as they rushed to take advantage.
Through misfortune or their enemies luck though the shots of the vehicon squad failed to hit, their laser bolts firing through the sky and narrowly missing the two falling bots. With their focus on the duo they never considered the skyscraper behind them as a support strut in the north east of the building finally buckled under the weight, twisting the structure's entire form as the damage to the floor Wheelspin had left began to alter the collapse's trajectory. A moment later the increased stress of the building caused the north west column to snap suddenly and violently. It's structural failure causing the building to collapse towards Shadow-Strike and his squad.
If the buildings had been of similar height such a scenario may have been unimportant, since the building Shadow and his squad where on was notably reinforced being much wider than it's counterparts, and capable of weathering such a collision with minimal overall structural damage. In reality though the collapsing building was significantly taller, having originally been created as a public attraction that would allow for the inhabitants of the city to see the entire skyline while also providing industrial and business space in the lower floors. As such rather than collapsing against the side of the tower, which would have dealt very little damage, the building was heading downwards set to spear through the roof.
By the time the building had changed trajectory though it's rumbling had became a noted nuisance, annoying but unimportant since the disaster had been of little danger. If not for the violent crack of the north west column it would have been further ignored until it had crushed Shadow-Strike and his team, instead though the sound gave them warning, distracting Shadow-Strike from a potentially lethal shot of the falling Sparkflare as his head whipped around to spot the origin of the noise. Where his optics found the side of the falling structure quickly nearing closer increasing it's plummet on a direct course with his position.
Their was little time to act, the force of gravity increasing the makeshift attack into a deadly instrument that would hit in seconds. Still it was enough to shout out a hurried warning as the thrusters on his right side burst into action jettisoning the mech towards the edge of the building just as it collided, in a monumental collision as ash and rubble was sent flying, shards of metal flying everywhere.
Out of the group only two had failed to escape the collapse, the first was crushed entirely caught in the center of the roof having attempted to earn another lucky shot on Astrinal only for a piece of the building masonry to fall into the path of the plasma round, he didn't even see his shot fail before his helmet was crushed inwards. In contrast the second was much more unlucky as he jetted away with the rest of the vehicon's his survival should have been assured if not for the framing of an outer window fell into the path of his retreat, causing him to spin out and fail to reach safety before the main structures met.
The destruction did not end with their connection though as the taller building continued to drive deeper into the smaller though hardier structure, momentum providing a boost as it drove through dozen's of levels before coming to a stop. With the damage of the landing, the rooftop looked more remnant of a warzone from the Great Civil War. As on either side seemingly safe plateau's looked inwards on the newly created chasm that was covered in rubble and wreckage.
On the west side Shadow-Strike stood, his thrusters still warm as the inside glowed softly after it's hasty activation. For a moment he glanced at the hole, his blood red optics staring at the devastation before it returned to his squad quickly confirming they where down two mech's. It was an unpleasing fact but one the assassin was used to as he began cataloging injuries, of which only a few existed largely possessing of blunt damage as smaller items had fell into the paths of a few of the mech's during their escape. On one occasion though a vehicon had been caught by a piece of shrapnel after the original collision, with it narrowly missing his spark chamber and wedging itself into the armour allowing a small gap where the spark could be seen. For the most part though the group was alive and combat capable.
After the quick check, Shadow-Strike turned towards the edge of the tower, where he looked down and spotted the form of Astrinal as she was thrown hastily through one building before his attention shifted to Sparkflare as the mech landed harshly on the ground below. In less than a milisecond Shadow-Strike considered the idea of a quick shot from his nucelon charge rifle at the mech, before his audio sensors restored to receive increased input, began to hear an ominous cracking sound. A second later it was followed by another crack as the walls of the upper floors began to fail to support their weight, as already minuscule fissures began to mark the plateau's like webbing.
Almost as though the approaching cracks weren't enough suddenly an deafening explosion from the opposite side of Shadow-Strike's plateau shrouded the cracks, one of the mining charge originally set up for a killzone by the vehicons detonating violently as it was carelessly triggered by one of the recovering soldiers. Like a chemical reaction the explosion caused the floor to buckle as Shadow-Strike was forced to readjust his position to avoid falling as the small cracks became pronounced quickly causing weaker sections of the roof to break off into the chasm below. Before he could react further though the section around his left pede broke off, causing the mech to instinctively hop to his right in a movement that looked effortless despite the growing danger. A second later though Shadow-Strike was already considering how he could regain control off the environment as his optics scanned the ground before looking over the edge towards the slowly recovering Sparkflare. Before he could truly change his mind, the assassin sprinted forward, towards the south west edge of the building and where one of the remaining charges laid as the floor behind him began to fall apart.
In seconds he was past the charge, and right at the edge of the building as he jumped off with a boost from his thrusters throwing him into the air like a missile. With nothing to support him in the air the activation of a thruster on his right and a twist of his frame caused him to spin back towards the collapsing plateau, as less than a second later he quickly aimed his gauntlets towards the roof as two fibrecorp cables fired with a harpoon modification causing them to impale themselves into the metal on either side of the charge.
For a moment the wire was loose, hanging gently before the Decepticon began to retract his wires forcefully, rather than breaking away from their attached points though the harpoons met a sudden resistance, before it subsided. Instead of taking just the harpoons though the corner of the building broke apart rushing towards him as thrusters on his chest supplied support where the lack of ground failed. His maneuver wasn't without consequence however as the plateau shuddered before the roof itself collapsed further, the corner he took having provided a central support of what remained. With the support gone the wall which had until now supported multiple floors faltered, pushing outwards like a avalanche as the metal gave away with a mighty rumble while more than a hundred boulder sized pieces plummeted towards the ground below.
Above the chaos Shadow-Strike's thrusters began to loose the fight of gravity as jets designed for short bursts suddenly found themselves struggling to support the weight of tons of cybertronium, alongside his own frame. Below him Shadow-Strike saw as the very first of the larger pieces hit, clashing with the ground as they created potholes meters long. Each of them carrying similar effect to a Cybertronian artillery shell as quickly the landscape below was riddled and scarred with the form of a pseudo mass artillery strike.
None of them though would cause the same devastation as the one Shadow-Strike held as he turned his thrusters off and quickly found himself falling as a single burst from the thrusters in his back sent him into his own chunk. Rather than crashing harshly though he landed gently with his spiked servo's cutting into the metal for purchase as he began to adjust it's arc with his thrusters guiding it's course. In another second it was headed directly towards Sparkflare as the assassin glanced towards the skyscraper Astrinal had landed in. Only a green blurr provided confirmation she was up as he returned to his task, a single last correction preventing the projectile from crashing into the base of the building rather than the mech below.
With it's target assured Shadow-Strike jumped off, his jets allowing him to fire a new fibre-corp wire as it connected with the exterior frame of the nearby building before Shadow-Strike's gauntlet retracted the wire, suddenly sending him hurtling towards the new building. A moment later Shadow-Strike connected with the glass exterior, the window bursting inwards without a power supply to provide shielding and increase it's durability.
As his momentum sent him through the window Shadow-Strike maneuvered himself into the start of a roll, his pede's taking very little of the force as he carried into a tumble that sent him meters across the room as he barely avoided a desk that would have buckled his armour easily without the full movement allowing him to transfer the force. Instead of stopping as he rose to his pede's though Shadow-Strike rushed onwards, his sleek form heading towards the stairs as he began to dash towards the top of the building, the danger of Astrinal pushing him forward as thermo-energon blades peaked on the edge of his gauntlets only a hair trigger from being released.
Already he was practically a blur as he entered the stairwell and leaped forward, his pede ghosting against the railing as he entered the empty space in the center and became airborne again. As gravity began to push downwards on him he raised a single arm to the roof, as his gauntlet fired and a fibre-corp harpoon connected causing him to launch upwards as the mechanism retracted the cable. In three seconds he was at the top as the thermo-energon around the harpoon activated cutting through the metal and allowing it to slip loose as it deactivated before returning to his gauntlet. Now on the top floor, but still in mid-air a simple activation of his backplate thrust sent the mech hurtling towards the door which burst easily upon contact with a solid kick, causing Shadow-Strike to burst into the room, his pede's already transferring into another sprint.
As he entered Shadow-Strike's optics caught sight of Astrinal, and he quickly charged towards her location as his thermo-energon blades sprung open from their gauntlets. A single last application of his thrusters aided his leap as he thrust one of the two deadly blades at Astrinal's chest in an attempt to catch the femme off guard and unable to react.

The first part of the plan had worked. The building crushed some of the enemy, provided a good distraction and bought him time needed to relocate, it flushed them out and destroyed their perch. It also distracted the enemy, so that those of his own side could be relatively unthreatened by their shots while they found themselves in a more vulnerable position of 'falling into the city'. He had not even intended for everyone to perish in the collision. He would not have argued against such an outcome, but calculations aside, there were far more things that should have been able to click into place for that to be a reality.
WheelSpin had needed very little time to find a new post, that gave him higher ground and enabled him a fairly good view at the roof, being crushed by the higher building. The window here had suffered some damage as well, probably from some of the minor trajectories. He Settled down, his servo transforming back to his nullray. He set his sights on one of the surviving vehicons. It happened around the recount of the damage when he fired his first shot. Headshot number one, followed by another fired as soon as the weapon was ready, this time the target were the boosters of one of the vehicons that was dangerously close to the edge of the plateau.
He fired again, two seconds later, seeking out each of his targets with exact precision. The building they were on was riddled with cracks, indicating that its demise was a certainty rather than a probability and it provided for a far less stable ground. An explosion that caused some devastation and blocked the view partially with the smoke and debris that it raised. It halted his shooting enough that he readjusted his position. It took him perhaps a moment to reassess the situation and locate his new, remaining targets. They too he shot at, be it in the head area directly or disabling the thrusters, where those were exposed. He'd didn't check if any shots struck true, rather keeping his attention 'in part and then in full' on Shadow-strike.
His primary target had been the dark Decepticon so the next one to seek out was the very one. He saw him hop out of the way as some of the ground under his pedes failed to retain support. He fired at the Con at about the time Shadow stopped to see how he could regain the control of the environment, his aim had been for his faceplate, a second shot was fired a moment later, as Shadow's back was seen. This time the shot was aimed at his unprotected back a third at his exposed arm just a moment before the Decepticon jumped of the building. The shots that would hit would affect the part affected which would have been disabled, useless for the duration of its effects, or, in certain cases (back shot), would affect the movement making it far less graceful, and much more 'drunken'.
(I really don't know how to write the reactions since the firing onwards, because the post is written under the assumption that nobody would try to shoot at Shadow-strike at all while he was on the collapsing building and doing his stunts. Also, as a note, WheelSpin is pretty excellent shot, and the distance here is not really that great, so the remaining part of the post below is more of an .. eh)
WheelSpin did not waste any time after that. He was moving again. While his position now allowed him partial view of what was going on, it was not enough.
He saw where Shadow-strike landed and followed the most probable direction he would have taken. For a short while he remained concealed by the building and WheelSpin could do nothing but wait. He was alert still and if any of the vehicons could have posed any danger now, he would have been aware of them and reacted accordingly. If not, well, he was just waiting to see Shadow-Strike pop up again. He did spot the shattered window up top, and was more and more certain that there was something not entirely 'part of the building' up top. He recalled registering two coming down from the same hole he'd descended prior. And recalled that same building being where one of the fallen had ended up, another logical conclusion, that they tried to find a good post to attack from. It was an unknown though.
He trained his weapon in the direction, assuming that the Decepticon was coming for that target. The moment he saw him again, even at the angle that his remaining building allowed - less of a hindered view now, that the collapsing building levelled with the ground - he would fire again.

Backbeat appears in the city near where Shadowstrike and Wheelspin were. His armored from moving towards where he saw an Autobot darting in and out of cover. Approaching the opposite to where the scope of the Autobot was, he judges the distance.
He chuckles as he raises his barrage cannon. He fires the first barrage on it's main setting, a cluster of missiles fly towards Wheelspin's cover, the missiles would obliterate the Autobot's cover and could damage him if they hit. He activates his short range radio.
' SHADOWSTRIKE... REPORT! '
He fires another barrage of rockets as he moves towards Wheelspin's position.

:: I'll be safe. Don't worry. ::
Sparkflare stated over the comms. The mech looked around the area he was in. The streets were dead. The mere sight made Sparkflare think. If Zeta hadn't attacked Nyon, would it have been like this? The mech vented in as a thought passed through his head. Was the explosion being merciful? Sparkflare shook away the thought. It was a bad thought. His subconscious was trying to avert his wrongs, and Sparkflare hated that. He brushed away the thought. The mech then heard the sound of a building beginning to crack. The sound was familiar to Sparkflare. Nyon had a building collaspe due to the severe amount of rust that had corroded away the supports of the building. Sparkflare identified it to be the collapsing building to be the circular building to his left. The mech looked up the building. There was bound to be rubble coming his way so he needed to be sure that he could see if he was standing in safe place. If he needed to move, he'd move. But Sparkflare was distracted by something else. Other than rubble.
Sparkflare them heard something land not too far from him. It didn't sound like rubble however. Turning his head to the source of the sound Sparkflare lifted up his visor so he could see what was before him with his own optics. An explosive charge. Unluckily for Sparkflare, he was close enough for the charge to trip an explosion. Sparkflare wasn't close enough to take the full brunt of the explosion however, so he was merely knocked onto his back. Sparkflare would've gotten up straight away if it wasn't for the rubble landing on him soon after to trap him and knock him out for the second time today. He'd have to examine his head to make sure there wasn't any permanent damage.
After 3 minutes of being unconscious the cyan blue optics opened up as he came around back into the real world. The mech groaned as he began to move the rubble off from him. Once enough rubble was clear. The mech got up to his feet. He took a quick look over himself. A few dents and scratches that were revealing his old paint. He had to get it redone anyways. The paint he had wasn't a permanent thing really. Doesn't do well with high temperatures. Sparkflare wasn't going to expect it to last forever with that downside.
The mech looked up to see a barrage of missiles hit the side of a building. It was not the one Astrinal was in. The only possible solution was that it was Wheelspin. Then there was a second round of missiles fired at Wheelspin's possible location. Sparkflare raised his arm, took aim and fired a few rounds at the missiles. The rounds landed, taking the missiles out of the air precision was something Sparkflare was good at.
After shooting the missiles out of the air, Sparkflare activated his grappling hook, fired it at Wheelspins building and flung his body up to his fellow Autobot's location. Once he got to the area he walked over to Wheelspin, formed his grapple back into a hand, opened up his arm and removed his grappling hook extension and gave it to Wheelspin.
"Okay listen up and record so you can give Skyspray proof that you did not abandon me. This is a Cybertronian city. It has materials that the Autobot could use for whatever. I need someone fast to give Skyspray the news of this place. Here is my grapple. You can use it to get up the elevator shaft and get rid of any debris that is in the way. All you gotta do is fire it at a surface and allow it to pull yourself up in seconds. You'll get the hang of it. Okay, got that? Good cause I need the word to be delivered now. That's an order. If Sky asks if this is legit, tell him Vating passed. I'll distract our barrage friend while you do that. Don't dawdle."
Sparkflare spoke rather quickly. Backbeat would most likely fire another round of missiles. As Sparkflare closed up his arm and activated all of his concealed weaponry. The back cannons, extra arm blasters, legs everything he had that was concealed was brought out.
"Hey 'missiles'! Why don't you stop firing from your little happy space and fight me face to face, eh?"
With the distraction now set, Sparkflare could only hope that Wheelspin would not argue or procrastinate. He was given orders so he should follow them.

The view below from her perch window was desolate. It was probably emptier than any glass of high grade energon flasks Astrinal had ever owned. The only speck of movement on the road was at the corner of the two buildings where Sperk resided. Astrinal knew two things. For one, this was the calm of the storm. Any clear view meant some bad innuendos were going to occur. Secondly, this also meant someone was moving there position. From her many years of combat experience, a silence in the field meant someone was making a tactical decision.
After another moment of silence, a loud explosion confirmed her suspicions. Where Sparkflare, an explosion blocked Astrinal's view on her teammate. her silent cursing was followed with various sniper shots. Astrinal ducked down behind her cover, assuming the attacks were directed towards her. This was bad; she didn't know where her attacker was. Her position proved to be rather benedicial, which the door to her cover was knocked down by a dark figure. Even though the figure had a large amount of haste in his movements, Astrinal was able to react up to par with it.
The black and green femme grabbed the nearest object she could and swung it infront of herself. By now, her sniper rifle had been swapped for a shotgun with the same servo. As the mech assaulted her with his weapons, Astrinal managed to move with a few grazes on her right arm. The plasma did it's job, cutting into parts of arm like butter; and it sure as hell hurt. However, mot of the attack sliced the chair she'd hurled in half. Her hand barely survived. Twisting against the wall she'd previously been relying on, Astrinal aimed her corrosive shotgun at her attacker's torso. She unloaded two shots and jumped back. She had no idea if her shots made contact, all she needed was a suitable distraction.
"Jeez, aren't you rude." Astrinal spat out challengingly, planting her peds into the ground. By now, she'd swapped her shotgun for one of her katanas, a black blade known for it's durability. "I was hoping for a little excursion in this delightful underground city. And dude, your barking up the wrong tree."

The communication from Backbeat never succeeded in reaching Shadow-Strike, as it was drowned out by the overwhelming crash of the two skyscrapers. In a similar manner neither did the sniper fire, with the debris and ash creating a field of concealment that was near impossible to penetrate. On both occasions Shadow-Strike was ignorant even long after. The vehicons who had survived and stayed on the building however quickly became aware of them both as the Decepticon commander began laying down suppressing fire. It was only natural that they assisted him, as the remnants rose into the air a mixture of troops transformed into flight mode while others began traversing the carcass of the fallen tower in a dangerous chase towards Wheelspin. All the while they fired at the mech with a hail of laser fire.
Elsewhere Shadow-Strike's fight with Astrinal had only began, as his deadly lunge propelled him forward only a combination of skill and luck saved the femme when blazing blades burnt through her hasty defense. They had done there job though as the mech's weapon cut straight through the chair as well as grazing the ex-autobot's arm rather than piercing through her sparkchamber. Already though Astrinal's experience began showing as she turned defense into offence, the barrel of her shotgun snapping up to align with the assassin's chest. It was an intentional distraction, designed to buy her time and hopefully deal some damage in the process. Against a mech like Shadow-Strike it was little surprise that the moment he saw the weapon he was already preparing for the counterattack.
By the time the weapon fired the mech had already began moving, pivoting to reduce his profile even as thermo-energon weapons raised in a defiant block. The acid pellets hit them first, bursting on contact as the metal buckled and the chemicals tried to grip hold, only for their superheated blades to burst into a blinding light that was already purifying the damaged defenses. He would need to replace them when he returned to base, but for now they would do. His defense wasn't perfect however, as the spread of the weapon and it's unpredictable nature had let more than a few pellets through as one slammed into the first layer of Shadow-Strike's shoulder plating he could already see the acid burn. In that occasion he was only lucky it had hit the outer region as it burnt straight into his second layer where internal countermeasures began to secrete a neutralizing agent. The hit against his left side was a little less lucky, as rather than hit a non-consequential point of armour this strike began to burn through the much more heavily armoured torso section and only stopped when it met the neutralizing agent underneath the first layer.
Instead of slowing the mech down though it only encouraged him further, informing him of the danger she provided and highlighting the need for her prompt elimination. As a distraction though it had somewhat succeeded, forcing him on the defensive for a moment. In most scenarios it would have even sufficed allowing her to step back and retreat where she could prepare a proper defence with the right tools deployed. This was not most scenario's however, as the room was too small and her assailant faster than most had any right to ever be. By the point she was beginning to unsheathe her katana, Shadow-Strike was already pushing forward with a new offense.
His first movement was lighting fast, as he passed over the discarded pieces of the chair he cut through, his foot flicked the remains upwards straight towards Astrina's blade arm in a move designed to prevent her from raising her weapon. The follow-through was even quicker, as he raised then rapidly lowered his right arm in a strike designed to bisect her in half from her left shoulder to her right hip. It was a simple combination but one designed to make any chance of a block near impossible. Even then in the chance she did Shadow-Strike was ready to step in on his left with a thrust from his free arm directing through the lower abdomen plating and up into her sparkchamber.

WheelSpin was in motion when the first missile hit the roof above him, far too close for comfort. He threw himself off to the side as further explosions followed. Fire from the explosion licked at his paint, debris flew , mixed with glass, some of it thumping against his already battered frame. He shielded his faceplates and helm with his arm and the car door attached to it. It felt as if the building itself was trembling at the onslaught. After the first barrage of missiles there was enough smoke and dust in the air to conceal the smaller bot, if at least for a short while. The ground underneath felt like it would hold for now, but another attack might send WheelSpin a few floors down.
He could hear more missiles shot and began to move - part crawl - through the smoke to shift his position without having it easily seen, but none reached his location. Something had shot them off course or obliterated them entirely, he could not see to be certain. He moved into the section of the building that was still offering partial cover. He heard a noise that was not part of the whine of the damaged building, nor of the fighting above.
His scatter blaster was levelled on the new arrival in a quick, sharp motion. It wavered the moment he recognised it was not a foe but a friend. Then lowered, when a scan confirmed it wasn't an illusion or fake imagery. In part Sparkflare had confirmed his identity himself in the way he approached and talked.
It all happened quickly. The exchange of the grappling hook, which WheelSpin took automatically, startled still by the appearance of his commanding officer. As his arm opened to accommodate the hook, he listened to what Sparkflare had to say. He opened his mouth to argue. He couldn't leave him behind. He looked just as banged up.
He closed it. It was an order. He hated it, but priorities had to be considered. Cenaii was the city the Autobot faction would benefit immensely from obtaining. Skyspray needed to be notified of it, secure the location and reap its rewards. It was not to fall in Decepticon hands. A single sacrifice - to which it hopefully would not come - was nothing in comparison to what possessing the city would mean.
"Don't get pulverised, sir. Won't look good on my resume." He said hastly. It was clear he wanted to stay to provide cover and backup, even in the state he was currently in.
He whipped around as laserfire struck the ground close to their location. The remaining vehicons had moved in on the kill as well.
He fired a shot at one of the targets, the vehicon that was nearest to their location. It was a nullray shot right to the helm. The vehicon lost control, the engines fizzling on and off, as if drunk. It had him swerve to the left, flying into the vehicon right next to him. The other managed to avoid the impact, if just barely.
WheelSpin used that moment of distraction from these drones to fire his borrowed grappling hook. He aimed at the area in the ceiling where the hole was. It was clear, by how methodical his movements and actions were, that he was trying to shave off any seconds and more of wasted time spent on something that did not bring him closer to the end goal. Like in a race where you needed to do a turn just right for the speed you were going at, and every tiny motion could cost you a victory.
The hook secured itself in the stiff material, growing taut. He jumped just in time for it to yank him upwards. The speed of ascend was pleasantly surprising even to the speedster. Awesome. He wanted one of these. And back to the task at hand.
With still a distance to go, even as the speed picked up, he focused on the remaining vehicons. He was exposed now and he could feel a few laser shots skid and scorch his frame. He trusted Sparkflare to deal with Backbeat.
There were three remaining vehicons he needed to contend with. Two had been climbing the damaged building, one was in hot pursuit in the air. He fired at the one flying first. His nullray gave way to the scatterblaster with a load of acid pellets.
The flier posed the greatest threat and that was also why he needed to be taken out first. His arm followed the flight pattern of the vehicon, filling the air with ammunition that ate away at the plating once it hit, blinding and disfiguring until the flier began to fall. Once that was achieved his focus quickly shifted to the two remaining vehicons on the ground. He did not falter a second. The scatterblaster switched to the null ray again. He aimed and fired, sending a shot to the back of the helm for vehicon that was furthest from the ground. The distance was becoming drastically greater by the moment. He fired again, his aim shifted for the chassis (a bigger target) of the vehicon underneath the first. That would even the grounds for Sparkflare, a bit. Last five vehicons were now five initial kills.
He reached the end of the line using the momentum as a minor boost, to twist - legs first - into the small cavern beyond the hole. The grappling hook released and the length of cable began to retract speedily. He crossed the distance between the hole and the area blocked by the debris as fast as his legs could take him, even at a limp. He shut down his pain receptors from the damaged leg, so that the only thing hindering him from moving faster would be the actual damage itself.

There was silence from the position of the shots. Suddenly, Backbeat charges out of the shadows firing a spread of missiles before jumping into the air, using the smoke as a distraction. His hands glowing with corrupted energy as he fires a blast of it at Sparkflare while mid air.
' How fitting, this tomb will be yours... '
He would grab onto the side of a building nearby and use it to change his direction of momentum to avoid being tracked easily. Aiming to land behind cover of a burned out building.
' Your trespassing on my property... Damn kids on my lawn and all that... '
Backbeat chuckles

Sparkflare mentally smiled as Wheelspin made his departure. He fufilled his purpose of going in deep into the underground after he saw Wheelspin getting picked up and thrown down the elevator shaft. He was safe now. Now it was time to check on Astrinal. Unless there was another barrage of missiles coming towards him.
Sparkflare took aim at the missiles and fired with his arm blasters and fired at the missiles, shooting the majority out of the air. For the rest that were not, Sparkflare turned a full 180 and ran out of the room and into the hallway of the level in attempt to avoid any major damage from the missiles. Shrapnel would still hit the mech in his back. But that was fine for Sparkflare. The shrapnel shouldn’t slow him down too much, he’ll just have a light stinging pain in his back. Then there was a second source of an attack that hit Sparkflare right on his back, knocking him forward onto his front.
As Sparkflare hit the ground, he recognised what he was hit with. Corrupted energy. There was only one person that he knew that had acess to this power; Backbeat.
Sparkflare was very familiar with Backbeat. He saw Feenix fight him a few times. He had gathered data on Backbeat’s fighting style from the few times Sparkflare saw him in the battlefield. However the data was bound to be out of date anyways. Still, just because some data was out of date, doesn’t mean he is unable to improvise.
Forcing himself up onto his feet, Sparkflare made a quick glance over his shoulder. The room behind was in was just about destroyed from the missiles Sparkflare failed to shoot down. The mech waved it off. He was fortunate that he only came out with shrapnel lodged into his back. Looking beyond the room, there was no visible sign of Backbeat. He must’ve gone into hiding. Sparkflare grimmaced. Even with the updgrade he had given himself during his exile, he was still out matched by Backbeat. Without a grapple and hook, there was currently no way he could be able to consistantly keep up wih Backbeat’s teleportation ability. So he was at a disadvatange. But with Backbeat (possibly) in hiding he had a chance to think until he was to eventually teleported in and do whatever.
Sparkflare mentally groaned. This was supposed to be a simple recon mission. He could hear Skyspray going on at him for screwing up already. Like he needed a lecture from a mech that pointed a gun at his soldier’s head for asking for help in a very panicked and frustrated manner. For a ex-DJD member, is colours always seemed too purple for an Autobot. But that was from Sparkflare’s observation of Skyspray’s actions and first impression of the mech. There was no real excuse for his behaviour.
Hopefully he would be able to make another grand escape from Skyspray’s command soon. He’d much rather have the resposnsiblity of being a peacekeeper of the universe than being stuck here, on Earth taking orders from someone who thinks it is acceptable to hold their own troops at gun point.
Sparkflare shook of the negative thoughts. Now wasn’t the time to procrastinate over how much he did not trust Skyspray. There was another time and place for that. Right now, he had to think of a way to deal with Backbeat.
Sparkflare examined the hall. This was a skyscraper so there must be a entrance to a elevator shaft nearby. The mech was right as there was one just a few feet down. Without any further delay, Sparkflare walked up to the elevator entrance and began to pry the rusted doors open with the horrible the classic uncomfortable screeching of metal. Sparkflare held no knowledge if anyone outside the building was able to hear it, so he had to be quick incase someone did and made their way here. The elevator car was currently on a lower level. Fine by Sparkflare.
With his left hand he grabbed onto the entrance to the elevator shaft, reached out to grab the cable and with his back mounted cannons, he fired down and up the elvator shaft. The left shooting the down and the right shooting up. But what was the point in what Sparkflare did was disconnect a large amount of the cable in the elevator shaft, allowing the mech to obtain the cable for himself and the car plummeting down to the bottom of the elevator shaft. A lot of noise would surely be made. With cable in his grasp, Sparkflare ran down to the end of the hallway, going over to the side of the skyscraper while wrapping the cable around his his body. With the amount of noise he made someone was bound to show up. But Sparkflare still needed time to prepare. As the mech was done wrapping the cable around himself. Sparkflare shot at the walls of the hallway twice and ripped off two loosened parts as he ran past.
Once reaching at the end of the hallway, Sparkflare sat on a window still, his body facing towards the dead city of cenaii. With his two pieces of wall, he made a X shape and tied the elevator cable around to secure it. A makeshift grappling hook was made.
Now. To get to higher vantage point. The top of the skyscraper will do. Get up on his feet on the window still and held on to wall with his left hand as he leaned back and threw the grappling hook up a few floors (somewhere between 5 and 8). The mech would tug at the grapple, making sure it was secure and wouldn’t break when he made his way up. Once Sparkflare was happy with the strength of the grapple, the mech began to climb his way up. Once he reached the end of the cable and the hook, Sparkflare merely repeated the process of throwing the hook up a few floors and climbing up until he reached the top of the skyscraper.
It took Sparkflare only a few minutes to climb all the way up to the top. Sparkflare looked down behind him at the city below. He remembered a view quite like this. The memory accompanying it was not something he Iiked remembering. He turned away from the view and walked to the middle of the top of the skyscraper as he swinged the grappling hook in his right hand, he liked to fidget with something when coming up with a plan. First on his to do list was get rid of Backbeat since checking up on Astrinal was going to be something easier said than done.

Backbeat radios Shadowstrikes's team... Making sure the line was easily intercept-able. He wanted everyone to hear.
' Cripple... Do not kill Astrinal. Her life is mine... Promises must be kept and payment due. '
He ends the transmission. He didn't want to hear his troops response... He had an Autobot to kill. Backbeat moves from behind his cover... Walking towards the building Sparkflare was in. on his way he hears the cries of a wounded vehicon. The vehicon was badly damaged and was trying to drag it's self away. Backbeat chuckles as he raises his hand, glowing with corrupted energy.
' Up an at'em trooper... Got a special mission for you. '
He grabs the vehicon and plunges his glowing hand into the vehicons chest, it's eyes glowing a sickly green before going out. Backbeat tosses the lifeless husk away and looks up at the building, he sees his foe in the window trying to escape to higher ground. He checks the power readings on his warp systems... His little power boost meant he was good to go, couldn't warp out of the city... But a small distance jump was good. Be the last one for a little while though. He warps out. Reappearing on the skyscraper behind Sparkflare. He lets out a laugh.
' Leaving so soon...? '
He fires a blast of corrupted energy at the Autobot. Primarily aiming for the crude grapple gear the Autobot had.
' No Primal to save you all now Autobot... What ever happened to her anyway? Retired or something? Tried retirement once... It didn't agree with me. But enough about me... We're here to kill you after all... '

OOC: Due to the overall inactivity of this thread, in particular to interaction with my OC (two weeks since I was allowed to post due to a lack of response) I have decided to remove Shadow-Strike from this roleplay. This has been a personally demoralizing event which in all reality I would probably like to forget, and has wasted more than two months of my time.
Before Shadow-Strike could follow through with the opening of his strike though, ancient technology reactivated as it identified one of the trespassers and sought to remove him. As the vault of Liege Maximo though instead of eliminating the infiltraitor through overwhelming firepower instead it simply banished him. Transporter tech that lined the entire city causing the assassin to disappear in a blur of particles before appearing above surface... continents away.

Astrinal had been ready for the duel of her life. Or, well, the best fight she'd had in a couple months. Astrinal wanted the mech to attempt to cut her down, or attempt to behead her. She wanted to be able to kick his sorry skidplate for thinking he could fight a legend like herself. However, something else had beaten her to the finish line. Before the mech even made his first attack, he had simple disappeared. His life signature had disappeared from her radars, and the air around Astrinal had seemed to still. The femme couldnt help but frown in disappointment.
"I'll take that as a win." Astrinal spat out, then sprinted to her foxhole with her sniper rifle at hand. The tower Astrinal was in was higher than most in the general vicinity, so catching the glimpse of Sparkflare and Backbeat wasn't hard. The decepticon leader's comm link proved what he was here for: Astrinal's side of the deal. Frowning silently, Astrinal gripped the trigger to her sniper rifle and aligned her crosshairs on Backbeat's chestplate. She knew taking the shot would affect Sparkflare, who only stood a few paces ahead. With this in mind, she re-positioned her crosshairs on Backbeat's right kneecap and released two sniper shots.

Wheelspin had watched the scene unfold. He had returned a short while ago, just in time to see Sparkflare's progress up a building and then finally spotting him at the very top. It did not take long to see that Backbeat followed. He could hear the frequency even if he doubted that it was exactly meant for him. Well, it was none of his concern who this other bot was. She was a femme, but beyond that she was not his problem. Keeping Sparkflare safe however, was.
Levelling his null ray on Backbeat's helm he was thankful to the other bot to have gotten to high up. The distance was still there, but it was much easier to shoot Backbeat now than it would have been, had he been all the way down, at the ground, or worse, inside. He kept his arm steady when the first shot was fired. Then it was another, and a third just in case. Two were aimed at the helm of the enemy, one at the exposed part of his torso.
The next target for the nullray was a bit of a surprise. Sparkflare. He fired a fourth time, his aim for the faceplate as that would in turn have the superior officer slip into statis for a short while at least. The null ray was smoothly replaced by his second weapon, the one that would fire acid pellets at Backbeat. It was perhaps laughable that he did not have something that was lethal quicker.
He fired again, a salvo of shots, all aimed at the same Con, while all at the same time, his grappling hook was released from the other arm. This one had a different aim however. Intent on grabbing hold of Sparkflare, he wanted to use it to pull him up and out of the city. He was startled to see that Shadow, the enemy that he'd think was going to last longer in the city, protecting it, had suddenly been........well he vanished. He was gone, as if expelled from the newly discovered place. He didn't use over how that was possible for long. No, rather he'd see if he was successful with bringing the bot up to the hole. And if so, he'd have still offered him some cover with the other arm, distributing the weight of the pull so, that his elbow, lodged against the ground, would keep himself from sliding back in.
If successful in all that, he would have certainly tried to get Sparkflare out through the hall, and then? Out through the tunnel if he had to manhandle the body or have a willing participant, it did not matter, while collapsing the ceiling above the exit, and out of Cenaii, into the Kalahari, preferably. And last but not least. Out and home.
(kinda pulling you out, if that's ok.. if not, i can edit. Let me know.)
