Is there something watching us?
The wrecker pulls one of his gauss bolters out and looks around.

(It's in Hotwire's specs; She keeps extensive data on anybody who's worth money. She has no data on common soldiers.)
Hotwire saw Feenixfire look around, and then up. Lowering her altitude, but remaining about thirty feet above them both for safety.
"Good evening, Magnus," she hailed Feenixfire, "And, good evening Maximus," she added to Gearchange, "Wonderful weather, isn't it?"

"Don't be like that, ma'am," Hotwire told Feenixfire, a hint of reproach in her voice, "What is it with everybody assuming I'm the enemy?"

"Oh yes, because I'm so desperate for credits that I'd dive in and attack two of the most accomplished fighters in the cosmos at once," Hotwire would have smiled sarcastically, "It was just business, Gearchange. I've sold my services to Autobots too."
She made another small circle above them.
"Right now I'm simply gathering information on unscouted terrain. Knowledge is power, eh?" she would have looked between them both if she had been in robot form.

Yeah yeah and my name is Santa Feenix. You touch Gear, you get eaten, are we clear?
*Feenix growls in caution.*

"If I was here to fight, I wouldn't be talking, Santa..." Hotwire didn't land, "It was business. Don't be such a scraplet about it. Perhaps as proof that I'm a relatively neutral party, I can offer you information... no, I'd class it as advice.."
Hotwire almost laughed, but continued, "Your children are worth $1,000,000 credits EACH, Magnus. Your grandchildren too. But they're only worth anything alive. So that they can be used as hostages. They are Marks, Feenix."

I really would not say anymore Hotwire... Or else Feenix will ensure a painful death... She has a taste for flying vehicles by the way...
Gearchange threatened and growled too.

*Feenix growls and jumps forward to try and scare her. Her tails swishing dangerously.*
Let me at her Gear! I'll turn her into turkey!
*Feenix was scared and woried about her children.*

A human figure would walk over the hill nearest to the three Cybertronions, talking to himself a bit out of anger.
Jeez... I can't believe he sent me out here into the middle of nowhere to look for somethin' and he doesn't even tell me what it is... Typical of him, really, but he could learn to lose that air of mystery he has about him...
The human would then see Gearchange, Feenix, and Hotwire in the area in front of him, stopping in his tracks.
You know what, I take that all back...

"It wasn't a threat, it was a helpful warning," Hotwire replied, "I'd be proud to know my family was the... one two three... seventh most valuable commodities in the known universe. Except, oh yeah..."
She landed in the snow and transformed, looking up at the taller Feenix-Fire, deep anger on her face, "I DON'T HAVE A FAMILY NOW!" she folded her arms, "Typical of an Autobot, to take everything so personally."

I am not taking this personally. I'm just scared for my children. And trust me, you try having a husband in that area of most wanted. It's no fun.
*She manages to keep a lid on her temper.*

"I have difficulties with 'trust'," Hotwire replied, "Try living your life knowing that you have to be worth more alive when nobody would care if you were dead. You think that's fun?"

Oh I know that feeling. I was exiled from my own clan at the age of 10, and had to beg and eat scrapes to survive.

It was hard to know exactly what Hotwire thought about that, but she paused for a moment, "Fun. Yeah, at least... well, at least..."
She stopped, but her rotors clattered in anger. It wasn't that she thought Feenix-fire's circumstances were worse than hers. But it was hard to compare somebody with no family, to a family that tore itself apart over the factions and left you in the middle, trying to keep everybody happy. And failing. Horribly. Really horribly.
"At least you had time for yourself," she said finally, returning to alt mode, "And I bet... I bet you never saw..."
She didn't want to talk about it. She lifted off back into the air.
"If my family was as valuable as yours, Feenix, I'd never let them out of my sight," she told the Predacon.

Feenix's family fought in the war too you know... along with the predacons... Her entire race was dragged into this battle. How do you think she feels being lightyears apart from the family she knows... She never even got to say goodbye to them when she stowed away onboard the arc.

The human would sit quietly and listen to what they were all saying, recording facts he thought were vital to their pasts as he drew sketches of each of them on the other pages of his notebook.

"Your families fought in the war... how ironic. My family did too," Hotwire retorted down at him, "Difference being... my family fought all on different sides."
She landed and transformed again, frowning.
"I got to say goodbye. It's not all it's cracked up to be."
She'd bet Feenixfire never had to see her Autobot brother shoot her Decepticon brother in the back of the head.
