Windtalker never replied. Though the avian's optics narrowed slightly, no words were spoken, no comms were sent. Just silence.

A groundbridge portal opened, idling some time before a large mech stepped out of the portal. His blood red visor flickered for a moment as it recalibrated. His armor was dusty, dented, scratched, and in some areas cracking. Signs of welding could be seen on some plates, resembling the paneling of the Outcode facility. The perhaps most notable detail here however, was the dull glowing Avacon insignia on his chest, resting just above an Autobot insignia.
Vertigo had been a defector of the Avacons, something Taggon would have known, as Vertigo had left first. Taggon would probably know that Vertigo was the product of experimentation, torture, and applications of technology. Indeed he was a Guinea Pig who had become something of his own. And one that had always been designated as incredibly dangerous in combat.
Taggon, unit 368. Rampage Team, led by Dark Axis. Innumerable kill count, Autobots, Decepticons, Neutrals. Blade expert, partnered with Nexus.
You have clearly defected, Taggon, but your sins will never be redeemed. Vertigo spoke, sounding sickeningly less robotic and emotionless than he was known for.

Taggon could only guess what was going on in Windtalker's mind, considering the minions curious silence. Taggon would furrow a brow behind his mask, as he tried to use some of his own reasoning to deduct what the minicon may be thinking. It was then the ground bridge opened, and said guest walked through before the portal closed after him. Taggon only heard the sound of the swirling behind him, before an all too familiar voice spoke behind him. Taggon's servos had been sharpening his blade, and though, once again, it seemed plenty sharp, Taggon judged that the blade could stand to be sharpened a little while longer anyways.
'Taggon, unit 368. Rampage Team, led by Dark Axis. Innumerable kill count, Autobots, Decepticons, Neutrals. Blade expert, partnered with Nexus.

::Sir. I thought I'd bring him to you since he was desired access to my main core.::
Perhaps Taggon's recent words of how he was in the area of grey deeper than Breech would believe was ringing in her ears. Taggon also felt a small cog in him turn, and something in his mind click at the words. This was not a 'new' something that occurred these days--it was something that occurred within him in a weary way.
"Greetings Vertigo." Taggon replied with an unwavering voice. The old names Taggon heard were ones he did not like the sound of very much, but he could not deny those facts. He had killed, he had picked up plenty of nicknames as well. 'Demon' had been one of them. Taggon could already picture Vertigo calling him this, or any of the other Avacons---they were right to call him that though. "That is what some say Vertigo. Yet, a soldier cannot deny his orders. If you do not already know full well, the majority of those deaths were targets I was ordered to engage. Was it not my job back then to respond to those orders?" Taggon replied. The vehicon had not stopped calmly sharpening his blade.
"To the point though; you have come here for something. Tobar informs me you wanted access to his main core. Do enlighten me why."

Sydrone's left hidden blade extends and he walks up to Taggon's side There something you need, Vertigo? Also, if there is, please ask for it without opening wounds. Sydrone said calmly. The Autobot's temper had risen, that much was evident, but from the person Vertigo was, Sydrone decided not to waste his aggression on Vertigo.

Windtalker tilted his head. That was one weird looking mech. He didn't dare glance his optics to the side at Taggon, it would show worry. And worry in tense situation sometimes took away from any standing in a conversation. He stepped down from Sydrone's head to his shoulder, and opened up the private comm.

"You've come to the wrong place to pick a fight, if that's what you're here for Vertigo," Breech warned him lightly, but not yet reaching for her weapons, "This base is just swarming with Autobots and people who aren't Decepticons."

((Apologies, been extremely busy))
Vertigo's visor flickered with purple lines going across like cracks for a moment before returning to normal as the various persons spoke. He stood motionless, scanning everything, analyzing every detail that his sensors were capable of detecting. Armor compositions, internal structures, weaponry. It was all in clear sight to him through his visor, though you wouldn't be able to tell Vertigo was anything more than a drone by his lack of character.
Turning his helm towards Sydrone, he raised his left servo, extending a sword form his forearm. The blade began to hum, and seemed fuzzy to the eye, as if the edges were blurred. You would do well to put your blade away, young Autobot. You are far outside of your capabilities should you attempt to attack me. Vertigo said monotonously, his voice devoid of any emotions.
He then turned his helm back towards Taggon, choosing to ignore the bounty hunter's remarks as they were of no consequence to him. Taggon had asked why he was here, why he wanted access to this "Tobor" AI system. Vertigo decided that his answer would be clear, and understandable, though it was quite likely force would be required to access the AI, Taggon was in no situation to fight.
I am here to modify the protocols of this Tobor for the benefit of the Autobot cause. You know who I am, Taggon, you understand I am an expert of engineering technologies, given I created the Axiom and Warp Bridges, amongst other things.

((Understood.)) Scans: / Lots of things behind the walls were intricate wiring, along with a host of cables, as well as a few readied arm appendages, equipped with tools for a variety of things; surgeries, weapon construction, and the like. The room had several regions which had a strange something blocking the view, or scans, though these components were few, and most of them were small. Several were large. A closer scan would enable Vertigo to see that more machinery was hosted within each compartment. Some was being adjusted within said components, others reamined still. These components of course could be explained to be engines, or thongs that required some adjustment that the mechanical AI was maybe attending to.
There were mostly blue prints in the room--little weaponry was made or completed. Even then, the weaponry would look strange. Perhaps it was due to the fact it was very, very incomplete. Though one such strange weapon had a mysterious power source... / - Everyone seemed to be implying that Vertigo was not wanted. Taggon would let his fore-arm be raised, in a 'halt' sign, that was evidently his way of signaling Sydrone off. The young mech didn't need to fight Vertigo, indeed, it would be a waste of time. Taggon also gave a side-ways glance to Hotwire and the others, to indicate that there was no need for their aggression on Vertigo. Taggon's shoulders would lower a notch, as he faced Vertigo, visor to visor.
"I am guessing you were sent by the Magnus. No doubt he told you how Tobar mis-behaved." Taggon stated without much varying tones himself. It was drone to drone. Both were thinking underneath their masks, but both would never truly know what. They had both become masters of concealing what was on their minds as drones. Taggon had known Vertigo for such a long time, but, the mech was something Taggon found to be awkward. He had duel personalities, and each specialized in something, the side 'Vertigo' in mechanics. Vortex on the other hand, was someone slightly relatable, and preferred fighting over gear-grease, it seemed. Or last Taggon had checked, that had been the case.
"Yes Vertigo, I know that engineering is your expertise. However. I should tell you that my A.I. is currently working on a project of mine, and I require its assistance on the matter." Taggon would continue to sharpen his blade, though not in intimidation, "The details of this matter is with my artificial spark; my AI has yet to give me data on when and how my next spark-check up is to be taken. Until then, I would ask that you leave Tobar alone Vertigo." Taggon answered the mech with an unwavering voice. It was true. The A.I had yet to do these things. ::Sir. I am about 50% done with your desired counterpart.:: "Conjuring up data." Tobar spoke from the ceiling. He didn't sound so pleased to hear what Vertigo was saying. Taggon simply held his ground. He silently counted the seconds for Vertigo to demand that he be given access to the AI regardless. 'Magnus's authorization,' seemed to becoming a large thorn in the vehicon's side. Apparently, Skyspray simply disliked Taggon being up to too much. It was arguable that Taggon didn't precisely have innocent practices, but Taggon felt that the Magnus was getting in the habit of intervening with what Taggon was up to...no, that was just him being paranoid. His superiors would not stab him in the back. Taggon mentally gave himself a gruff frown.

The plasma edge of the hidden blade disappears as Sy retracts his blade. Sydrone then draws a dagger from a compartment in his leg, the gold Assassin's logo in the hilt catching the light as he did so, and begins sharpening the blade with his right hidden blade. Sydrone did not look threatening, but he did look like he was ready to use that dagger at a moment's notice. He kept his optics locked on Vertigo.

Windtalker looked to Taggon as he delicately evaluated the situation. The smallest speck of pride surged in the bird, as he shifted his attention to the newcomer. He was Autobot, or an ally. Ally. That word had been used far too leniently as of late it seemed. Bounty hunters and assassins were allies, so long as you kept their pockets filled. The minicon glanced at Breech when he thought this, then back to Vertigo.
What he didn't know was exactly what the AI did to upset him. When Wind first reunited with Taggon, he was accused of a war crime. It wasn't to far of a stretch to think his AI did something. But, knowing his former apprentice, it probably was a matter of perspective. Nevertheless, the minicon took to the skies again, hovering near Tobar on the ceiling, and eyeing it closely. He flew back to ground level, folding his wings to his sides and listening in.

((Third time trying to post this because servers were drunk yesterday))
Sydrone gets a comm from Blackjack, before turning to Taggon Boss, We got a situation in London, aparently a whole array of Decepticon signals just popped up, though they may not be all that they seem. If you're up for it, it might be time for us to start working as a team again. he says, before sprinting off, in the direction of the command room.

"If you'll excuse me..." Breech straightened up and nodded politely at Taggon, "The bat has to acquaint herself a little better with... the beasts, you could say."
She shrugged, although it didn't really mean anything. Taggon's little story had struck some kind of chord with her, and she wanted to work things out. She was headed back to the main control room.
"Unless I'm actually needed here..?" she sounded almost hopeful.

Vertigo stepped forward towards Taggon, the vibrosword still humming from his left servo. Vertigo's notorious Avacon sonic cannon was where his right servo would have been, as far as anyone knew, Vertigo was akin to Shockwave in that regard. He looked down towards Taggon's frame, still being tweaked in surgery, still terribly vulnerable and easy to kill on the spot for his crimes against the Cybertronian species. Vertigo knew that now was not that time, that a better time would come, and perhaps a better mech to do the deed.
You are mistaken, Taggon, the Magnus has not enlisted my aid. I work of my own accord, for I am not an Autobot. This insignia on my chest is not mine, it is that of Vertex. Vertigo said, looking at Breech for a moment, having read her records before and noting that she might consider stirring conversation off of both having multiple personalities. He then looked back at Taggon.
Again I will say that this is in the interests of the Autobot faction, and I assure you, edits to the subroutines of your AI will not impede or disrupt it's ability to continue and finish the procedure. I will install the new subroutines and apply a command to reboot systems and update the moment the procedure ends. If it is as impossible to edit subroutines without disrupting the procedure as you say it is, then perhaps a new AI entirely is required.

Taggon actually was in fair condition, if not, then quite great. His body was not battered in anyway, it had just undergone an update and repair. There was nothing pitiful about Taggon's stance, or appearance. If Vertigo saw such, somehow pride was seeping into his monotonous processor. Sydrone would mutter a few words, which Taggon caught, before disappearing. Breech Loader would speak, classifying the Autobots as 'the beasts'. Interesting she chose that to associate the Autobots with. Then again, the beasts resembled the creatures of the ground, which the Autobots for the most part were, while the Decepticons were the ones in a flying base. So perhaps her selection of words were logical after all. (( 101 0100.100 1000.101 0010.100 0001.101 0011.100 1000.)) "You may take your exit, if you find that to be what you must do to deal with your dilemmas. I am handling mine quite well, though I thank you for your readiness." Taggon excused Breech Loader without any haste or gradualness, it was evident it was just an ordinary 'yes, you can go'. Taggon was still facing Vertigo. The vehicon heard the older Avacon out, though Taggon would begin to wonder why the mech was bothering interfering with the A19 Strike team place. Data there is...inconclusive. Taggon would mentally frown. What was this Avacon up to? Taggon did not know. Recently, he was having trust issues with who precisely was his true enemy. Taggon noticed Vertigo seemed to be eyeing him back. His Vibro blade was unsheathed. Taggon let the gravelly sound of his sharpening cease, as if he was examining the blade. He felt it, he knew already what kind of blade it was, what its secret purposes could be, and how he might use it if Vertigo decided to make a wrong move. The tension was written in the air, and though Taggon didn't want a fight, he would be ready for one. ((101 0011.100 1101.100 0101.100 1100.100 1100.101 0011)) "Very well. Do what you must, though I will tell you; I am shutting down the A19 Strike team down right after this procedure. I am not Commander Astrinal, and cannot hope to withhold her dreams for this sub-faction." ((101 0010.100 0101.100 0001.101 0011 100 0010.100 0001.100 0100.)) I am only ruining her work. For someone who felt close, I could never guess what was on her mind. Taggon thought in a bitter lament to himself. It stung him that the commander had gone MIA. Until she returns, and reboots this program, I am to bring it to a stop. Taggon repeated to himself, as he faced the stone cold glare of Vertigo. ::Counterpart is 75% done....does he really have to be in my wiring?:: "Sending results/answers to your HUD sir. You may leave if like." Tobar said to Taggon. Taggon arched a brow at how much data the answer seemed to take up. It'd take a while to scroll through. Meanwhile, the vehicon would begin to turn around to exit himself. He had other thighs to do. Vertigo would no doubt tinker with Tobar in ways that would annoy the AI. Taggon silently noted to himself he'd get the AI checked after he got back. IN the meantime...he'd arrange for the A19 Strike team to be shut down.

Vertigo stared up at the camera that linked directly to this 'Tobor', it was clear the AI did not desire to be modified, though like any AI it should know it's place below that of a sentient being, or at least be incapable of such self awareness as to protect itself and deny him. If this AI were to prove itself too self-aware, then Vertigo would wipe it and install one of his own designs.
The emotionless and cold mech would then prepare his tools, from subspace he pulled a case which contained various gadgets and data drives, as well as a powerful explosive and EMP device should someone other than himself tamper with what was contained inside. It was time to get to work, and improve the odds of Autobot stability and functions as a faction.
Tobor, I am ready to begin the modifications to your programming, direct me to your central core.
