"I know that." He says to the scientist before approaching the glass. "You are something else. More than we expected. You're more valuable than we first thought. Now you're definitely going to help us."

"On a cold day in the slag pit," Kick-Start tells him. Oh well; at least they aren't going to offline her, "Get your processor in line, human. I'm no non-sentient machine you can just push around."

He pushes a button and the chains retract again, forcing her back against the wall. "I am a reasonable man, but you are trying my patience."

Kick-Start cries out in pain as her frame is stretched out further.
"Reasonable?! Ugh! You've set bait, kidnapped me, shot me in the leg, and stripped me bare!"

Dyson turns to the other scientists. "Prepare the force gauge for joint threshold testing."

The chains pulled much tighter, stretching Kick-Start even tighter. She screams louder still, the pain rapidly escalating all over her body. Something in her shoulder pops out of place.
"CASSETTICONS ARE DIFFERENT!!!!"

"Explain before we're ready to start the joint testing then."

"They just are! They just-" Kick-Start screams at another pull on the chains, this time dragging her thighs much further apart, "SUBSPACE!!!"

"Will someone stop with the chains before you break it!" Dyson snapped before turning to Kick-Start. "What is this 'subspace'?"

Kick-Start sags, whimpering painfully as the strain on her joints lessens slightly. She's aware that she's already said more than she ought to, "I don't know," she lies.

"You are able to shift most of your mass into this 'subspace' and you don't know what it is? I find that unlikely." As if meant to intimidate her a large machine was pulled in. It had a set of clamps, a piston, and a gauge on the side. "But no matter, we'll simply begin testing your tolerances." Scientists removed the chain from one of her wrists as it was placed into one of the clamps, the other firmly gripping her upper arm.

Kick-Start tries to kick and twist in the chains.
"No! I swear!"

((Please don't, since that's not what it does.))
The piston slowly moved outward, pulling her elbow joint apart. Not even to actual sever it, but high enough to come within a force pound of doing so.

Kick-Start screams again as her joint is stretched right out. Something twists unpleasantly in there, in a way it shouldn't. She's certainly flexible. Then something is pulled in a way it shouldn't be, and her scream reaches a new pitch.
"YES! I KNOW!"

The device released her and the arm was put back on the chain. "Then talk."

Kick-Start whimpered a little as her arm was moved. It shouldn't have been, after the strain it had just taken.
"Well... You know how... how atoms are made up mostly of the empty space between all the protons and neutrons and all that scrap, right? Nobody knows... really knows... like... why you can put a cup on a table and it doesn't just fall through... There's all these theories but... y'know... theories..."
There was a vague noise of acknowledgement from a few of the scientists.
"And Subspace is... the place between it all... and Cassetticons... when we're made... we can put things in that space. Regulars can't."
"That's impossible," Joe Person states.
"Yeah, well... tell that to my internal organs," Kick-start managed to retort through a cloud of pain.

"That doesn't explain why you have less mass in your smaller form. If you were somehow able to shift it into that empty space the total mas and weight would still be the same. Our measurements show you lost mass."

"Sure, sure. I know about mass. It's how you get black holes."
"No it's not-"
"Shut up. The mass... Yeah, I know, it's gotta go somewhere," Kick-Start struggled to explain it, "It's like... A Cassetticon is different. If that's the order of the day, then their parts can make a black hole and go there. And then, when they shift back, the black hole closes and the necessery parts come back. My own personal pocket dimension. Or something..."

"You're a human. Have you ever felt the deep, intrinsic need to understand your own digestive system?" Kick-Start asks Dyson rudely, "No, it just works. Sure, you know a few little things. But until some self-righteous, sadistic prick comes along and asks you for the specific details, that's all you ever needed to know, right?"
"Sir, if it really doesn't fully understand its internal mechanics, we do have some scanners here that we'd like to test out," Joe Person suggests, "It's based loosely on the tech from the bodies we've already dissected."
